HOW TO SOUND LIKE GOD?!
We get this direction ALL THE TIME in voice acting specs and scripts telling us that they want the voice of god. What they really mean is they want an authoritative voice for their announcer, someone who can bring people together in a conference room....but what if someone overheard and wasn't very appreciative?

Hey everyone! I'm Joe Zieja, a voice actor in Los Angeles and an author of science fiction and fantasy novels. On this channel, you'll find tips and tricks on how to be a voice actor, how to write a novel, funny voice acting videos, anime voice acting, video game voice acting, and loads of other educational and entertainment content surrounding these two careers.

I don't care what you all think, this is one of my favorite sketches ever. Check out the course at learnvoiceacting.com/?sl=yt !
How to sound like the voice of god.
Step 1-be Morgan Freeman
LOL
Wait, Joe Zieja learned voice acting at his own academy? I guess time travel is real.
God becomes a Voice Actor truly is one of the best twists
This infomercial skit tops the others heheh.
I'm pretty glad I signed up for the course. I've learned more than just learning to make a career with my voice, I've learned simplified strategies to just GO and get the life that I want, instead of waiting for what I might think I need first to be ready.
The academy stuff will be archived to look at for members indefinitely, right? I was an early adopter but haven't even logged into the site yet lol. Been really busy this year...
You get lifetime permanent access, yes.
Traditionally, God (the creator of the universe and all living beings, that God) is portrayed as an old man with white hair, a huge white beard, and wearing white robes. There is also that "bright golden light in the sky" cliché that is often used, but those forms are far too cliché and overused. They do not make sense and feel too underwhelming. Some anime think they are being smart by portraying God as a young girl, but even that is an overdone cliché.
If I were to create a story where God speaks to my characters, then I would have God be visually identical to the person they are talking to and also sound the exact same. They will speak the same language with the same mannerisms as the person they speak to. My depiction of God won't be portrayed with a cliché form (unless the story has them be a cliché on purpose). Becoming the person God is speaking to is done because God has no real visual form. God is supposed to not just overwhelm you; they are supposed to make you feel at ease and also weirded out at the same time. They are close to you but not really. A visual mirror of the characters is the ultimate form of otherworldliness. The characters and the audience consuming the story will feel comfortable and uncomfortable seeing God in a familiar form. It also makes sense given that God is often described as being beyond human comprehension or form. You should not be able to see God, so when my story has characters interact with them, then it is going to be a major event because that encounter is not supposed to happen, but the story having God encounter the characters should be important. Think about how the audience feels, thinks, and learns.
It's important to remember that every depiction of God is just that: a depiction. People have been portraying God in different ways for thousands of years, and there is no one "correct" way to do it. The important thing is to think about what works for your story and what message you want to convey.
I loved the way Full Metal Alchemist portrayed Truth/God as a white void. It suited the story and made sense. That series did a great job of exploring complex philosophical themes, and its depiction of God as a white void certainly added to the otherworldly atmosphere.
Sorry for my random info-dump essay. 😅
A new character addition to the JZ cinematic universe.
Hey, could you do a video on Bruce Campbell's voice? (Ash Williams from Evil Dead)
Great commercial, but I actually thought you were going to teach "how to sound like the Voice of God".
As in.. adding echo, reverb, high pass, etc.
You just have to make Claude's voice
Joe's class teaches you voice acting and how to set up a neighborhood Kool-Aid stand. (You'll need the Kool-Aid stand to support your so-called "Voice Acting" hobby).
Honestly if Joe is a Christian, he'd be my absolute favorite VA !
Ah yes, Silver talking to God
Bro why you look like John krasinski 😂😂

Will you ever voice Gl1tch again?
