Lol welcome to Wellsville Meg! It was a long time coming but you finally made it to dirtbike heaven. Now your a heathen just like us! Camp 52 salutes you!
While you’re in the area check out hillsville pa there is some great riding there. As a local im down there 7 or 8 times a year. Anyway, keep up the great vids👌🏻🤟🏻🤙🏻
Awesome riding, Wellsville is some gnarly shit. I bash my Jeep around down there, would love to take a bike through there and see all the places my rig cant make it to.
That was nice riding! I love watching your videos, not only because you're a good rider, but also your a shorter rider (Like us) , so I learn some things by watching you do it!
Are you riding with the WP AER48 forks on your bike? If so, what modifications have you done to make them more plush on square edged trail hack like roots and rocks?
Meg, u got bigger balls then half of these thumb warriors.. the ville is an off road haven . U will see alcohol, drugs and guns... beer cans litter the streams and burnt out stolen jeeps litter the trails.. bring ur gun.... we do.... as far as the haters. Let him hate.
I don't understand riding that stuff where you move three feet at a time and then lift your bike and do it again. Does not seem fun at all might as well be just carrying a 100 lb weight up a creek bed.
Yeah this was in March so the leaves hadn’t come in yet. We actually had one ride the week before where all the creeks and streams were frozen and the ground was ice underneath a thin layer of mud. What a nightmare that was 😬.
Cool video! I started riding Wellsville in the late 70's as a teenager. When hard enduro hit the radar screen some years back everyone touted it as a new extreme sport. All of us Wellsville riders were like ...."what! We've been doing that since the 70's? I know you ride out west. Its beautiful . I rode the Colorado 500 in 2001. We did 720 miles in 5 days. Just beautiful. I miss Colorado!
Megs, love to have you come out to Utah and ride Tibble fork/Mineral Basin! We would climb up to 10,400 feet. Strong work on that rough terrain though!
I'm 5'10 and I love watching how you pick your way through all that so easy. Gives me more confidence however I feel embarrassed as I did lower all my bikes. I know you keep stock. Respect to you Megs
Hey man! Thanks for the kind words! My current bike is actually lowered 1 inch in the suspension. It sucks to lose the ground clearance but it helps me out when I’m in a tricky situation.
Im so impressed to see how far you've come Megs! Your amazing! would you mind telling me what you sue to get your footage? Mainly your gopro settings and what your upload them at to youtube. I recently got a hero 8 and im having trouble making it look as good as it should. Thank so much for taking the time to share with us!
Hey! I film in 1080p at 60fps in superview on my hero 7. Then I export the video with the highest settings possible in an attempt to take less of a hit when UA-cam compresses it.
@@IRAfallon gopro 8 should be good on default settings, i would enable hypersmooth. aside from camera settings - youtube destroys picture quality when you upload. I recommend uploading at a resolution of at least 1440p. Even if you record on the gopro at 1080p, you should render / export it from video editing software at 1440p or higher. Then when youtube re-encodes it on their end it will look much better than something uploaded at 1080p. You'll mostly notice the difference during high speed motion/ lots of changing detail. race drone videos have to deal with this too! But if you're not going to render the video after recording it, then just record at 1440p or higher and then you can upload directly to youtube for good quality.
Gnarly and beautiful country side...thanks for the great vids!!👍🤘 I always watch a bit of your stuff before going out riding...makes me look a terrain different and motivates the heck outta me...megs braap videos get me freakin pumped!!
@@megs_braap Yeah , I suppose ya gotta be ready to rock if your gonna ride with Graham , Way past my level Juss Sayying but you, Different story. Thanks for showing us how its done. You probably have the best instructional channel on You Tube .
BC to Ohio? How did that happen? I'm originally from NS but live in Pittsburgh and find it quite hard to find places to ride. Like this place, I've read that the land has a new owner and its enforcing trespassing and dozing entrances/parking
The point is to get better. Learning to find traction is the toughest places, learning to choose better lines, learning to power through exhaustion, etc. It’s not fun for everyone but I enjoy it.
I'd be interested to know what settings you are using to get such clear uploads to UA-cam...as even though mine upload and play in 1080p, I get far more blurriness & artifacting once it gets uploaded to YT...
I’m filming in 1080p, 60 frames per second, on superview. UA-cam will allow you better quality uploads as you build a bigger following. Kind of silly but that’s what they do.
Normally all my riding and filming would happen on Sundays (my one day off a week) or if I took time off. I have recently quit my job to pursue my riding clinics full time though.
First of all, I thought the borders were closed. What's up with that Meg? Second, trail maintenance please. If you enjoy this pastime, get out and repair trails. Our small group, "The Lucky Seven", keep our trails secret and in good repair. Those rutted downhills show over use and little thought for future riders. Having said that Megs, I love your spirit and videos.
This footage was taken in Ohio. I live in British Columbia. When I am home, I put in tons of time building, clearing, and maintaining my local trails. When I am travelling, I first of all do not carry shovels and picks and whatever else you'd use to fix up things like ruts and water damage on the trails. But second of all I am travelling to train, collect content, and teach clinics. Maintaining the areas that I visit for a day while I'm on the road doesn't make much sense to me. I do my part at home when I have the time and the means to do so.
Megs Braap well said. That reply just earned my sub(lol, really not that valuable). I get so tired of arm chair warriors. I'm past the point of doing what you do, but am enjoying your videos and riding skills. Thanks
@@megs_braap you shouldn’t post the location to trail areas that are already illegal to ride at; like Wellsville for example. Place is totally illegal riding area and you’ve just introduced a ton of people to it via UA-cam.

Well as we say. Wellsville is the shit! Ride there every weekend. It's our little slice of heaven in Ohio for dirt bikes! Looks like you had a blast!
Love that place ride there every weekend in the summer lucky I live 15 minutes away it's ruff place for sure lol but it's definitely fun

Us Full size Guys called that holler trail. It washed out a few years back. Pretty brutal on a bike. It was rough on us at times!
Big props!
Looks like one of those magical, warm, early April days in that part of Ohio.

Literally where I learned to to ride. Appalachia slop then desert mountain slop made me a mediocre rider.
Absolute savages. Wellsville is NO joke. Be prepared to come home bruised.
I think I need to take a nap after watching that.
This place is like an hour away from me. Did you try to climb crazy horse?! That hill is pretty insane
I’m not sure if I tried that hill climb or not. It sounds familiar but I think it’s just because my friends mentioned it.
Too much for this cowboy
Pretty nasty stuff you where in there and l was wondering are you using a gummy tires or just stock tires..
I was definitely running a gummy tear tire here. They make life so much easier.
Ive ridden there, place can be rough with the tiniest amount of moisture. A lot of red clay.
Yeah we had a couple of days where it was still frozen under a thing layer of mud and ooooh my was it ever brutal.
can You tell me what is the address of this park
Love riding Wellsville! Great place to hone skills... or sometimes just cause broken parts and pain. lol
Haha totally! You’re especially right about the broken parts 😂.

Yeah there are tons of climbs just like this out there! Such a fun place to ride.
I'm looking for a crew to ride with you guys hit me up I am in Columbus... Getting a new enduro in a few days.

Holy cow! I live in Beaver Falls PA. Just across the border!
That's tough going.. a TX 300 with a carb is a wonderful thing 😁😁
If that was the only type of riding available I would quit riding. Not fun at all!

A landholding company just bought all that land and they are now prosecuting trespassers unfortunately.

Might be a good idea to mention in the title that this ride was in March before lock down.
Found the Gnar I see !
Tough and gnarly!
Can anyone ride here? I live in Ohio.
Mike Barker Absolutely. Sometimes there’s a guy there that collects 20 dollars for the day fee but that’s it.
We used to go jeep riding there all the time 15 years ago. Heard it was all shut down and closed off. Is it still open???
FALSE. The area was recently purchased by a landholding/mineral/mining company and it is now off limits.
