After I heard about Serbu refusing to sell their BFG 50a to the NYPD because the state classified the rifle as an "assault rifle", I gained a lot of respect for the company and for Mark Serbu. "NO SERBU FOR YOU" Love it!!
Val, you've made some really interesting videos on your channel. Your humility is admirable, in the way that you downplay your role at Serbu. You probably already know this, but you're already doing work on guns of a type that many well-established gunsmiths won't even touch. Keep doing what you're doing, because you're good at it. You'll inherit this business one day. The firearms industry, and American industry in general, needs more businesses like you and your father have: independently owned, innovative, and selling interesting products, available to the average consumer (and gun-owner). You and your people are doing a great job. Carry on and God bless you and yours.
Having seen pictures of people who have been SCALPED in a split second from getting hair caught in machinery, I have to say the same. Power tools demand as much respect as firearms in many cases.
bro when she was grinding I was terrified she didn't catch her fingers. fuck wear gloves!! hell I fucking almost cut one of my fingers off by cutting metal
That was a really neat look into your work day...thanks for bringing us along! I would enjoy as many vlog-style videos on your channel as you can find time to make.
I enjoy your videos. To be so funny, smart and pretty in an awesome industry yet so very humble and down to earth, it is very refreshing. I believe most other young people would conduct themselves in a much more condescending, rude manor. Keep up the great work!
I really enjoyed the show, Val! How interesting to see how the day to day operations go at a manufacturers business! Thank you for sharing this perspective!
I enjoy your behind the scene videos and love your quirkiness..You did pretty good assembling those Super Shorty's as well. Keep up the good work and keep on making videos..
Came from demo ranch. This could be a cool new channel, just subscribed. I like the manufacturer, assembly, testing perspective. Can you go from start to finish? Obviously shooting and explosions are fun, but the other stuff is damn interesting. I have a pistol (Star), but I'm not a super knowledgeable gun guy so I find it all interesting. You'll get better and more comfortable vlogging with people around, but this was fine. Honestly the only slightly awkward times were when you were saying how awkward and uncomfortable it is, haha. Keep it up! Off to watch the rest of your videos...kinda looking forward to the ALS challenge one because I'm a guy in the end :)
The only thing I have to say is to stop worrying so much. You're intelligent, competent, and absolutely lovely. There's no need to apologize and no need to worry about what people think. You put out fine content already and it keeps getting better. Your instincts are great for this, just keep on the path you're already on.
50CalVal You're very welcome. It's not surprising though, a lot of people are. I used to be just like that so I know how it is. Just know that people who enjoy good content and good people love what you do.
This was a great video :) very interesting to see those shotguns constructed like that. living in Ireland here and firearms are heavily restricted but it doesn't stop me being fascinated by everything about them around the world.
I'm actually quite impressed to be able to use both hands to work. I'm even envious somehow because I'm so clumsy when it comes down to use any tools with my weak hand, surely not a hammer, screwdriver or anything else.
I just recently started watching your videos and I enjoy them quiet a lot. I just like how genuine you are and that you mix it up. keep up the good work and the great videos! Thank you for sharing with all of us. I've been thinking of starting a channel, but I really don't have anything awesome to make with them. I mean I work on cars and play video games cause I'm a winner lol, but really thank you for sharing with us and I look forward to more. Oh, and you all hiring? lol I would love to build top quality guns. I miss building my AR's.
Great video, I enjoy your authenticity. Refreshing with so many people trying too hard to produce content. My advice is to do what you enjoy with your videos, and not worry too much about the results. Also, mad props for going into the comment section and choosing to continue doing stuff on the internet lol.
Haha thank you! I actually think people have been pretty good about the comments that they leave on my videos. I've only gotten a handful of gross ones..for now.
Val, you a living my dream job, would love to do what you do everyday. I have been struggling for aid to go to gunsmith school. Maybe some day I haven't thrown in the towel yet. Thanks for the great videos.
I truly hope that all works out for you! If it's something you think you'll love, then it will be worth all the trouble in the end. But you already know that. I know that I'm insanely lucky to be able to do what I do with what little experience I have. Thank YOU for watching them! :)
You mean tactless like you apologizing for something you didn't do and aren't responsible for anyway, as a transparent favor currying move. Really smooth and tasteful.... -_-
I don't think it would ever be too hard for me to respond to people who have actual questions and comments worth responding to! I personally think some youtubers are just too lazy. Unless they get thousands of comments. :-P It's fun interacting with you all though, so I think it's totally worth the time.
Manual rocks!!! Hahaha I spent eight months importing a Ford Shelby GT350R just because the non R versión wasn't available in manual, also, you should do a walkthrough of the workshop that would be awesome
We have mechanical bulls at the country bars in Florida, and I don't plan on riding those or a real one any time soon! First you mention shooting sideways and now this. You just want me to hurt myself, don't you?! :-)
Man, badass. I wish I could be doing something like this. I work in an office and sit around all day, haha. But having a job at all is nothing to complain about, I suppose.
I would like to see anything you upload. I would also like to see some footage of your guys machining parts if you could do so. I really enjoyed this video so keep them coming!
I think if you do another vlog, it would be cool to see you build one of those super shorties, load it up and put some shells through it. If you're allowed to of course, I don't know if you're meant to stress test them first.
Oh gosh, I laughed way too hard at that. I am allowed to function test them but I didn't do it that day. Also, there's already some footage of me doing that on my Instagram.
Ok guys I think its pretty fair to say Val is amazing .... I'm sure you all will agree ..... also id like to announce to everyone I'm now in love :) with Val hehehehe Val keep doing you and sharing its fun to watch ! and remember never feel weird uploading your content ..... not sure if you have browsed youtube lately but there are literally people on here uploading stuff I wouldn't even feel comfortable doing in a room alone by myself without cameras lol .... your doing great keep up the great work.... oh and let your pops know hes pretty cool for an old man :P
Thank you very much! You're definitely right about the weird videos thing. I found a youtuber who uploads 4 hour long videos of himself sitting on the floor and smiling at the camera the entire time. Very creepy haha.
50calval hey just found your channel recently, just remember and tell yourself we want to see you being s goober! You did great I'll have to keep watching thanks!
Dear 50CalVal, thanks for sharing your day at Serbu Firearms, I enjoyed the video, But You're Grounded the next time you run the grinder without your hair tied back !!!! I'm your Dad's age, so I can do that, Also you're very lucky to have a Dad that loves you so much !!!!!!
Haha nothing wrong with the hair! Like your job and work hours, is there another position like that open! So guns have you made for yourself? And like the subtle cat stuff lol keep the videos coming!! They're entertaining
We've actually just hired someone, so I don't think we'll be needing new people any time soon sadly. I haven't kept any of the guns I've made for myself. Mainly because we have enough work as it is getting guns out to people who actually paid for them haha. Glad someone likes that stuff! :)
I don`t how I came to your videos , I guess I was checking out some gun stuff. u were putting a Mossburg shorties action together, well done, it`was pretty tricky when i first tried it . I have 500, same action... I don`t think the short stuff is legal here in Calif. I live east of San Diego. On my screen of my LP I see BFG -build in your PJ `s might as well be comfie I say. I`ll be checkin it out. your Beautiful . PS. thanks for not having tatoos !
Did you know Serbu in Bahasa Indonesia means "Attack". So they have an assault rifle made in Indonesia by the national arms company (PT. hi.. u have the best job EVER!!!! really cool.. here in brazil is not easy at all to shoot this 50cal.. i wish i come back to live in america!! god blest american, and specially u :) keep up the good work
My two kids are cats. When I'm away from them, I worry the shit out of them. What if they choke on the random stuff they find? What if today is the day they take a liking to the taste of power cords? What if there's a fire? When I'm home, I have enough fire power to protect them, it's just being away that bugs me. Hell, I don't even go on vacations or leave overnight. Travis M. He should do the same thing to California since 50's have been banned there since 2005.
assault rifle... 50 bmg... LOL

You are gorgeous!
Aw, thanks! :-D
did you build that little baby shotgun for hickok45? cool vid
its you

You know it's a good gun channel when Mattv2099 comments on the videos
+Zachariah King well said
hi
GUN VS CHEESE
I know she said not to mention it, but I was freaking out while she was grinding.
Having seen pictures of people who have been SCALPED in a split second from getting hair caught in machinery, I have to say the same. Power tools demand as much respect as firearms in many cases.
Well look that was an open grinder so it couldn't of scalped her
bro when she was grinding I was terrified she didn't catch her fingers. fuck wear gloves!! hell I fucking almost cut one of my fingers off by cutting metal
+Grand Wizard you never wear gloves while grinding or machining, safer without gloves, short sleeves and hair back with safety glasses is all you need
+Euge L you sure bud cause of the hundreds of times using my grinders at work the only time It caught me was when my gloves were off.
Always awesome to see a technician skillfully working with their hands.
Thank you! That means a lot. :-)
it is, great job from youre mom i think.
I really enjoyed the show, Val! How interesting to see how the day to day operations go at a manufacturers business! Thank you for sharing this perspective!

THE BYCICLE WAS THEEEE BEST INVENTION EVER MADE...
YOU ARE WELCOME AROUND THE WORLD WITH ONE OF THIS...
Your videos and the stuff you do in them is fine. As long as you are making new ones, the majority of us will be happy. Keep up the good work!
I can only dream of owning a super shorty, let alone building them all day! And don't get me started on the .50 cal's! Keep 'em comin', Val!
I love how you are in camera, really down to earth and quite hilarious. keep it up!
The only thing I have to say is to stop worrying so much. You're intelligent, competent, and absolutely lovely. There's no need to apologize and no need to worry about what people think. I can't help it; I'm a worry wart! But thank you for your kind words! :-)
50CalVal
You're very welcome. It's not surprising though, a lot of people are. I used to be just like that so I know how it is. Just know that people who enjoy good content and good people love what you do.
Never stop being yourself! Do what you want with your videos!
Val loved this first VLOG of yours, your better at this than you think you are! Congrats! Big shout out from Sydney Australia
Never stop never stopping, Val. You're a treasure! :D
PS. When I buy a Serbu I'm going to tell everyone that Val triggered me.. O.o
Thank you! :) I'm glad to hear it!
This was a great video :) very interesting to see those shotguns constructed like that.
living in Ireland here and firearms are heavily restricted but it doesn't stop me being fascinated by everything about them around the world.
This is one of my favorite videos! Thanks for sharing. Cheers from Colorado!
I'm actually quite impressed to be able to use both hands to work. I'm even envious somehow because I'm so clumsy when it comes down to use any tools with my weak hand, surely not a hammer, screwdriver or anything else.
All your video are great keep making them. Make whatever you want or feel like that day.
That's my kind of job, never a bad day at the "office". Building guns much more appealing than turbine frames for jets. Have fun and stay safe.
I just subscribed and after viewing 6 of your videos, this is by far the best. Keep on it!
As long as YOU do the videos no video can be long enough for me not wanting to watch it. You are so freakingly awesome funny. So keep going Val. ^^
Thank you! :-)
I just recently started watching your videos and I enjoy them quiet a lot. I just like how genuine you are and that you mix it up. keep up the good work and the great videos! Good to see how your stuff is made, be interesting to see some of the machining work ;)
AWESOME VIDEO!! Im waiting on 2 RN-50s and a BFG-50. I cant wait to get my hands on them!
Val, you a living my dream job, would love to do what you do everyday. I have been struggling for aid to go to gunsmith school. Maybe some day I haven't thrown in the towel yet. Thanks for the great videos.

Keep the videos coming, also the lifestyle vids, and keep your style :) creator's personality is what makes channels distinguishable and great :)
Thanks! :)
This was actually pretty neat to see how these firearms are made
Thats awesome! I want one of those Mossberg shortys! You have a great job
@50CalVal I apologize for all the tactless males that have taken up residence here in the comment section.
Oh what a man you are. White knight coming through people. Get out the way.
+KloWn694 XD
You mean tactless like you apologizing for something you didn't do and aren't responsible for anyway, as a transparent favor currying move. Really smooth and tasteful.... -_-
Just another lonely low-life trying to make it seem like he's better than everyone else.
Get rejected much? LoL
We live in East Tennessee, glad you have kin here!
Keep up the good work on these blogs. I appreciate it.
One thing I love about you channel is its small I know you want it to grow but I like how it's small bec you can actually talk to your fans
I don't think it would ever be too hard for me to respond to people who have actual questions and comments worth responding to! I personally think some youtubers are just too lazy. Unless they get thousands of comments. :-P It's fun interacting with you all though, so I think it's totally worth the time.
+50CalVal yea but when you get in the millions and get thousands of questions you won't be able to talk to everyone like you can now
Manual rocks!!! Hahaha I spent eight months importing a Ford Shelby GT350R just because the non R versión wasn't available in manual, also, you should do a walkthrough of the workshop that would be awesome
Val your amazing for doing what you do. Keep up the fantastic work 👍.
Keep up the good work. I liked this type of video. Wouldn't mind seeing standard Vlog type videos like from work things.
It's always nice to watch you. Guns and girl... what else do we need?

We have mechanical bulls at the country bars in Florida, and I don't plan on riding those or a real one any time soon! First you mention shooting sideways and now this. You just want me to hurt myself, don't you?! :-)
50CalVal Can you make me a serbu brand hi point glawk fotee in that shop?

The honesty is awesome
Man, badass. I wish I could be doing something like this. I work in an office and sit around all day, haha. But having a job at all is nothing to complain about, I suppose.
The spread on those "Super shorty" Mossbergs must be insane. Anyways, you're awesome and deserve every bit of praise you're getting :-)
I would like to see anything you upload. I would also like to see some footage of your guys machining parts if you could do so. I really enjoyed this video so keep them coming!
Awesome, I'll see what I can do. Thanks!
now this is a breath of fresh air. not all Comercial. Acually really interesting
Dat casual chokehold though.
I loled when I was editing cause I totally forgot that he did that haha. Just a normal day at work.
Just part of the routine.
12pm: Arrive at work
1230: daily chokehold
+50CalVal You're going to get better at videos but I actually like this one the best. Keep it up and God Bless America.
I think if you do another vlog, it would be cool to see you build one of those super shorties, load it up and put some shells through it. If you're allowed to of course, I don't know if you're meant to stress test them first.

Nice Video Val, You Got a Great Job! Count Your Blessings!

Nice idea of a video! i can see the effort that you put into it.
Look, anyone named 50CalVal is awesome in my book! Thank Demolition Ranch for recommending your channel...
That trip should be awesome. water skiing and shooting!!
I think so too!
Awesome channel!, that's probably my dream job working at a gun manufacturer and upload it all.

Hi Val, New subscriber and Massive cat lover. Do some vide on the cats! that kitten behind you looks super cute.
Informative video... also cool about you doing RAGBRAI since my wife and I are cyclists. Thanks for taking the time...
You have the coolest dad ever!
Next time you guys are in Tennessee come to Chattaboogy and go the range with the artisans :)
Sounds good to me! :-)
Working with your hands all day & not scratching your nail polish = badass.
Glitter polish= indestructible :)
That was awesome! Little bit jealous of your job, I won't lie haha
Hi from Egypt, thanks for the vlog. Keep up the good work.
Im in Tennessee ,Hope you have fun at the range . Be safe ..Keep the bullets Flying
I see no problem with the grinding. Considering I grind barefoot, no eyepro, and no gloves sometimes.
That was GOOD to see thank you Val.
This vlog was cool. You should do more vlogs and maybe another q&a? I think you made one before. Either way it was a good vid
Thats would be a pretty sweet job. good video. keep them coming
When you're assembling a bi-pod and Richard Dreyfuss attacks you from behind.
Certainly looks more exciting than my boring office job
That back grab was hilarious 😂
Love all your videos keep it up. Enjoy Tn that's were I live.
Are you ever going to do a video on the _M16A4_? That's my baby 🙌
Cool video Val, I would love to assemble firearms for a job lol. Keep up the good work!!
Did you know Serbu in Bahasa Indonesia means "Attack". So they have an assault rifle made in Indonesia by the national arms company (PT. PINDAD) and it's called "SS" short for "Senapan Serbu" aka Assault Rifle. Check it out, the rifle wins shooting competitions in the region defence.pk/threads/tni-ftw-indonesian-forces-sweep-gold-medals-at-shooting-competition-in-australia.377536/ , and even beats USMC on a practice in Hawaii.
hi.. u have the best job EVER!!!! really cool.. here in brazil is not easy at all to shoot this 50cal.. i wish i come back to live in america!! god blest american, and specially u :) keep up the good work
Awesome video! Thanks Val!
Don't let anyone ridicule you for liking cats; I'm an incorrigible gun freak, but my best pal is a cat.
Anyway, I'm sure anyone reading this is captivated.
I think your doing great. Practice makes perfect.
So I gotta ask, what's the legality on those Super Shorties? Are they SBSs or AOWs?
Great vid. Thanks for sharing a little bit of your day. :)
Cool shit! Keep them coming, Val!
awesome channel, also you have such a cool dad, mine would murder me for making a slam fire haha. wish my working environment was like that
Your dad's office looks like a mad genius's office.
I HAVE A SPARK THAT"S A MANUEL TOO! haha...it's my work vehicle
Great job for first vlog.. keep it up:)
