One of my favorite things of this junk journal universe is the pure alchemy of it- making something wonderful of “nothing” Another option for the cover (tear/cut the excess tissue off)- use a nail file or sanding block on those edges- makes such a beautiful soft but rough edges that take inking and paint well- LOVE this project 🤗😎

I’m thinking these little journals can also be popped into a gift as a little extra something, act as a card with extra writing room, or a place to put some tiny photos of a special get together etc. Thank you so much for the continued inspiration!
Clever lady!!! Love this. I don't have an embosser and really don't want to invest in one,so to create texture I guess I'll do more layers of tissue . I've been making mini journals from 6x6 papers but this is so interesting. Thanks💙
Probably, certainly provides texture. I have some new stencils. I wonder if my modeling paste would be too thick unless I scraped it well or thinned the product?

Hi, instead of embossing you could use a stencil and some gesso? - gives a similar effect I find.
