Chilly thank you originally when I was a young boy in boy scoundrel when we would leave to go camping on Friday nights , we would have the pleasure of listening to a few of these when Mr Smith would drive us to our camp site, these story’s always warmed us up to get to our camping trip started, always enjoyed the few I got to hear back then and I’m so happy to rediscover these thru what you have posted thanks for bringing out the kid in me once again as I get to listen to these once again , Thank you
Sometimes wanting something isn’t enough or even wise to capture a free spirit thus ruining one’s fantasy, illusion, of how things will be if only you possessed the object of your desires. Great story about Karma, enjoyed 6/10/2022.
You know,,,,,,,,,,,,, The 1st. Thing that I thought of was when I saw the words ; ( The. Paradise. Cafe ? ) Did anyone ever hear the song Hotel California from the Eagles. I don't mean the Philadelphia Eagles I mean a southern rock group,, from the 1970s which were the best and still is. The Eagles album Hotel California. But there is a song named The Paradise Cafe Hmmmmmmmm. ?
Hotel California, probably heard it hundreds of times through the decades. The Eagles were a great band! I still enjoy hearing their songs in retirement.
I hate these stories that the writer builds his story, makes it interesting, but gets lazy in the last three minutes. They build up a crescendo, then the story just dribbles away, and E.G. comes in and says, "Well, that's the way things happen. They get my interest up, and then leaves me with a big vacuum where the ending should be. Cheapskates!
You wanted a grisly, blood spattered screaming man begging a mob hit man for his life? The “Wise Guy” already painted that picture, the mob leaves innuendo and a warning. It’s mystery theater!
