I’ve found that, at least when a player is the war leader, the AI will pretty reliably try to join up with any player-controlled army that’s moving. Even to the point of abandoning a siege that you really wish they’d finish. So I’ll move the army that I want my allies to support toward their armies until they get close, then move toward an objective in a series of short movements with pauses for the allied armies to catch up.

Started a 867 as the duke of Spoleto(middle of italy) and just focused on development and stewardship while expaning when needed for my children to take other lands lol. With a good character by 1050 I was making 65 gold a month lol

Can you do one for maximizing domain limit? Because that's the stat which matters the most imo. I think Kushite religion with TWO "stewardship for level of devotion" holy sites would do best if reformed with pacifism. And sometimes the throne artifact from Scotland and HRE have +1 domain, but not always. There's also the cultural tradition that stops you from divorcing but gives extra stats from wife.

10:40 it's not the cathedral that gives you the learning, your faith possessing that holy site gives the bonus to everyone in your faith, per example if the orthodoxes conquer alexandria because they consider it a holy site their brains will immediately increase in size based on how popular they are you also don't need to convert it to your faith too btw, just someone of your faith holding that holy site (as long as your faith considers it a holy site) will give everyone of your faith the bonus

Kerch and Olbia/Kara Kerman, Sarsyn are 3 close ones to Kiev, Taltosist sites, reform and build temples and they show up as university, you can also get Pozsony (bratislava) and Budapest with a tin strip around Hungary, even the Trenchin goldmine I mean it's fun to have 100, but it's basically 35+ from domain so it's 65ish, 3 was council and 17 wife, could be like 20 council with a theocracy priest in council like Padeborn/Ravenna or make your own, I had vassals with 70+ no gimmick one run I had several 20% books and one was upgraded to 40%? maybe 60, not sure how and why, some runs you just get the artificers ask for inspirations then they use the 20% ones and upgrade it to 40% and once I had two which is 80%, which is 4 star education times 2, but genius gets 30% on any education anyway. my best steward run was when I built 19 cities, breed kids in them, got a 27 stewardship stubborn dillgient lady on 4 star, genius and shrewd and stuff, and super early law 5 perks (I think I still had kin to 3 and marriage acceptance). but basically each legacy line has 3rd perk for 10% education, law has steward, my steward scores inflated to 30-40, my own rulers were crazy good, so the next kid had the genius and 3 steward buff traits, diligent most important, had the aquaduct and road and survey every year or two, had no artifacts and got 3 trees cleared in 42 years, then I was able to go 2 trees in learning and had to intentionally sabotage him to die. With the events going over and over I had 60ish steward and I stopped it because wasting points in trees was not great, and scholar is better after 2 trees anyway. for learning, you need 12 learning for mystic event from 'age of word' event or visit holy site and tent event or befriending a mystic, befriend from norse legacy/ritualized friendship or diplo 5 years or weddings, then you get the glasses event with a priest, book translations, stealing priest books and buying esoteric books. new one is pious theatre event and get 2 random courtiers do it, some diplo challenge it seems to got something with traits, you either get several times good or fail all the time. other than that there is herbalist and gardener event for stewardship and mystic buffs from culture, combined with some hunt bonuses you can get flowers and xp in hunts. then befriending with super high stat people can trigger shared education events. it's random usually, and events can repeat over and over, not sure what triggers them, 1 point in faithful/theology is good, but you still go scholar first. same for medicine, getting the first perk is good for the better physicians. but mendicant mystics from russian or khazar can be strong. best learning based characters seem to be book inspiration mentors, but you can also just invite them to your court from others. mystic+herbalist seems strong for physiicans with 27+ learning. you can also land people with nicknames, insta claim their title and bring them back in court, 4 stars usually get 9 more perks in the education and the nickname and trait they got converts to a full tree. I I had 40-45 learning priest/physicians this way. wards and wardens also has 5 star education if you do well. Probably rn female or equal inheritance, khazar mendicant mystics and scholar tree, you can get 20+20 from learn on job and wife easy (half of their skills which can go up like 40-47 with theocracies and landing nicknamed ones). if your traits are good you trigger events, like befriend the priest, give a hook, steal his book, swap new priest, repeat. do it 3x and that's 6 more learning, 27 is easy by like age 45 with book artifacts. I had several esoteric books for fear event and theater too (which I usually fail).

If there is a sure way to get things, easier to just get debug and "grant_all_perks" and move on to fun stuff. It would be nice if nothing was a sure way to get things. But as there is a way to "get stuff" without error, easier to just "cheat it out" the quick way. This sounds like "convoluted cheating to feel good about it".
