i actually think fading is not necessary mindset it will fade anyway. what the point of having quality clothes and wasting time thinking about fading best to enjoy the clean look and over time it fades anyway. so u can enjoy the garment. nothing better than a clean looking denim anyway
Tell me more about sizing on these fancy Levis and the BraveStars? I know my size in normal Levis like 505’s and recently got some 514’s. Curious if I can buy same size in selvedge brands or these fancy Levis? Years ago I bought some shrink to fit 501’s and remember needing to size up a little in the waist and inseam.
I got the Levi’s without thinking about sizing, I just got what I normally wear. And after I checked them, the STF are 1.5-2” bigger in the waist than my other 501. I’m really not sure if they have done that so you don’t screw up the sizing or what. But I use a size 34 in waist on Levi’s and Lee, so I have always thought that I’m a size 34 in “true size” so when I ordered a pair of Brave star they was way to small. So the right way is to line the front with the back and measure the waist that way, and use the sizing chart and compare. And when I figured that out I followed the sizing guide. And my Levi’s is really 18.5” when flat and that’s a 37.5” waist and not 34 like I thought. Naked and famous have their different fits and every fabric on top of that fits differently from another as well. So follow the guide lines on how to measure and compare to your favorite jeans
Hi, based on your reviewa and experience which 1 you recommend to begin bravestar 25 oz sumo or Ironheart denim 21 or 25 oz which is better in quality of denim construction and denim color and fit! Any suggestions would be appreciated
Hi for me personally the Iron Heart sits better on my body than Brave Star. And they have hidden rivets on the back pockets. It feels like a better quality product, but in the long run I really do know. They are also double the price. With Brave Star you really get much for the price
Not washing for an extended time leads to premature wear as the dirt chews at the fabric . I never go so long between washes especially when some of my hand dyed sd jeans were $$$ The levis are decent but for $200 strike gold are imo the best buy in selvedge.
@@Qltydenimplain 1 3/4 inch wide leather belt that is wide looks good in Levi's I think I wear a leather cow collar with a roller buckle and d ring in my jeans it is 1/4 inch thick and 1 3/4 wide you can get it at tractor supply for about 30 dollars they will help you order it on line do you think you will get one I'll send a link to show you what it looks like
Look at Pigeon Tree, Hollow Belt and Fondation(not try yet) in natural veg tan leather, and eventually with wear... My Pigeon is very thick and supple and developping a very rich patina.
The one made in Japan I didn’t notice much. But the one I did wear in the bathtub lost maybe 1/2 inch in waist and probably 1 inch in length. But that was in regular bathtub temperature

Some of us enjoy the process
I think it’s cool you do boot reviews. What’s your most popular boots/brands?
I’ve had Red Wings and now I mainly have Franks boots and Nicks boots. Check out qltyboots if you want to

Which pair is your favorite out of these 3?
The first pair are my favorite
Where do you get your denim from?
what kinda leather belt are you using. it looks amazing
To be honest, I don’t know what brand it actually is. I’ve got it around 2006 or so. It holds up pretty good and it looks better and better.

@@stephan384 I ordered a belt from Nicks boots, it’s super thick. Haven’t decided to unbox it on this or my boot channel
Yes
Woah you have a second channel!
Just started, I have no idea about this stuff. I think I want my boot channel to be about boots, I don’t think I’m going to mix jeans in there
@@Qltydenim Also from what I remember there is a fellow Scandinavian who has a selvedge brand. I think he did an interview on Stitchdown.
they are very nice i have 1
That’s great
Nice belt!
Thanks
How’s the shrinkage?

How many oz os. The denim
I think that these Levi’s are around 12 oz mark
I think you could blend this channel with your vintage sneakers one
I I only had vintage sneakers. I have several boots from Nicks, Franks and a pair of whites
I don’t think I’m gonna be sitting in a bathtub in a wet pair of jeans anytime soon
Cannot effort to buy levis jenans to expensive, only can buy levis underwear at the moment and its a fake
