Over the years, Pixar has given us plenty of reasons to watch their movies; be it their stunning animation, brilliant storytelling, and timeless characters. But that last point also extends into another great thing about Pixar: it’s villains. Next to Disney’s own rogues’ gallery, Pixar has one of the best villains’ rosters ever imagined and are still capable of pushing the envelope 25 years later. But what happens when you put this collection of supervillains, terrorists, and spiteful competitors in the same room? Some will rise up as the apex of Pixar villainy and others won’t even seem all that bad by comparison at that point. So, let’s find out.

Sid wasn't a villain at all. He thought that toys were inanimate objects (which they are in real life), plus his mother was always working and his father was an alcoholic. If anything, Sid was a bored, lonely, but ultimately, misunderstood young man, trying to make the best of a bad situation the only way that he knows how.

To destroy or harm a toy I owned just never crossed my mind, so Sid definetly seemed strange to me.
When Sid learns that Toys are sentient, he makes it his life mission to rescue them by becoming a garbage man.

I’d hardly call Sid a villain. In our lives, we either knew that kid or were that kid. He could play better but he’s still playing. And who doesn’t like launching some rockets?
He's the villain of that movie. Or at least, the antagonist, and that's what I'm pretty sure they mean by "villain"
@@Styxintheriver antagonist is defined as the person who challenges the protagonist. A villain has a lot more attached to it in terms of archetypes
I mean, I have no qualms with the rocket thing, but he did some things that were a bit more questionable to those toys

Derpy Hooves Well, not really. According to the movie’s director and creator Lee Unkrich, when Ernesto got crushed by the bell the second time, he didn’t die, he was just forever disgraced.

Derpy Hooves Not necessarily. It was figured out in one of Wotso’s videos that just because the world now despised Ernesto, it doesn’t mean he was forgotten. He’s being remembered through hatred, which means he’s still around even by the end of the film.

The most evil 😈 syndrome in incredible
I feel that Ernesto is way too low. The worst thing about him is the fact that despite him being exposed at the end, the damage was already done. He killed Hector and got away with it. Hector died, missed out on seeing Coco grow up, and had to deal with his family HATING him, knowing he did absolutely nothing wrong. Ernesto did that and felt no remorse. And his motive is so much worse, he kills Hector for fame and success. That's it. He gladly killed his best friend with a wife and kid for FAME. Then on top of that, you have what he did to Miguel. He's a completely irredeemable villain.
For me he is the most evil, I clicked expecting he would be #1 that's how much it impacts.
I think on a mental illness scale, he has NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder)
And they were supposed to be friends his friend killed him for money worst betrayal you don’t see it coming

Were not talking about quality, were talking about quantity. Who cares if he made one guy want to kill hilself over and over, syndrome is willing to put society itself on the line for fame.
The reason why Syndrome wasn't a perfect villain was because he was wearing a cape.
Even when I was kid, reading comic books, capes never made any sense. Didn't make any sense for Dracula, either, for that matter.

I remember hearing somewhere that in the original test screenings, Lotso did in fact press the button to save the toys. But the test audiences didn't like it, so that scene was changed to what we see in the final version

Thunderclap is the most underrated movie villain. The fact that he's just a carnivore trying to survive actually makes him scarier because he talks like a sentient being, but at heart, is nothing but a wild animal.

I've always sympathised with Randall. A used pawn who never had the friendship or love that most have. Sid was redeemed too
Honestly same, especially considering Randall’s inevitable end. I’m surprised he wasn’t put on the Pixar death list, if he was it’d probably be higher considering the mental panic of being thrown out of your home world moments before being bashed to death with a shovel. Even if he didn’t die spending the rest of your life in isolation isn’t the greatest way to live

@@davidpayne697 Really? I thought Waternoose was actually Randall's pawn, and I still kind of do. After all, you'd have to be a textbook sociopath to manipulate somebody into a such a nefarious plan, and Randall appears to fit the criteria more than Waternoose, as the latter was trying to solve the city's power crisis, and showed regret in having Sulley banished.
I LOVE a Bug’s life. It was one of my favorite films as a child, and I still think it is great. Hopper is a brilliant villain and you really feel the fear! The animation and vocal performance is amazing!
The thing that really unsettles me about Ernesto de la Cruz is that he made his friend's death as a plot to a film. That's some insane disrespect to someone, you once called friend and partner.
Earnesto was never a true friend to Hector. All Earnesto cared about was himself. What amazes me was how was Earnesto able to get away with the murder?
@@melissacooper4482 I found a way as to how Ernesto escaped. At least one of the factors. So Grandma Coco is 100 years old in the movie and said movie takes place presumably in 2017 so she would've been born in 1917. Coco was around ages 4-6 when Hector left with Ernesto. The thing is we don't know how long the two men were gone so we'll say a little under a year. So it was the early-mid 1920's when Hector was killed by Ernesto. I'm not too knowledgeable on the capability of forensics back then but I can assume that the police found no connection with Hector and Ernesto when they found the former's body, nor did Hector have any ID on him, if he did then his wife would've found out that her husband was killed leading to her never hating him and music. Along with that, if she knew Ernesto then she could pin him as a suspect.

Honestly syndrome really isn’t as sympathetic as some make him out to be. Yes he got turned down by his hero but Mr Incredible obviously turned him down for his own safety and did the responsible thing in letting the cops take him home to his parents. Also Mr Incredible saved his life by removing the bombs from his rocket boots. Me personally I would be more grateful that the hero i looked up to saved my life rather than plot for revenge.
guillermo acosta I blame the government’s decision to hide the hero’s. While he was at a crossroads in his fragile state as a kid. Hero’s being banned was the perfect opportunity for him to take advantage. He wanted to show that the humans are not to be underestimated and it consumed his mindset. In a way that is sympathetic, but he became a monster he originally was supposed to be fighting against. All that knowledge, and power just to say “I told you so.”
Really, Syndrome's still a kid on the inside. He kind of stopped where he was when Mr Incredible rejected him, making him both hate and love supers at the same time. I think he desperately wants the admiration the supers get, but after that rejection, he doesn't know how to deal with it and ends up eaten up with bitterness and hurt.
It was a cape not boots that had a bomb in it. Maybe it was foreshadowing the whole "No capes" thing. Also Syndrome should have at least gone over being rejected. I once got rejected too around his age and I'm over it now. Besides Syndrome complaints about how Mr. Incredible ruined his future yet Syndrome mentions that his rich due to his inventions. Also I'm pretty sure Mr. Incredible suffer enough from getting sued and being illegal. Also he was stuck in a dead end job, gain weight, and totally depressed. I'm sure Mr. Incredible went through enough. In fact if Syndrome didn't interfered the super heroes wouldn't be legal again.

What irritates me the most is when people give Syndrome the free pass. So he killed all the heros because mr Incredible refused him as sidekick? This is the most psychopathic behavior ever, he would had eventually done something horrible regardless since he had no problem killing innocent heroes.
The thing about Stinky Pete is, I don’t consider his personality in the first half of the film to be that disingenuous.
He did seem to have a genuine fondness for Woody and the rest of the round up gang, and truly believed he was doing the right thing for them; his perspective was formed by being left in his box for all his life. When he gave his motive rant near the end, the level of how unwanted and unloved he must have felt all those years was palpable. He saw the museum in Japan as his last chance at some fulfilment and meaning in his life.
Ultimately, it’s simply the fact the he was forcing his beliefs on Woody and co. as well as being manipulative which makes him something of a villain.
Also, if you watch the specials, they show the Pete actually gets a happy ending.

I like how this made me rethink how they portrayed Randall in Monsters University. As a kid, I never questioned how he managed to invent such a device, but seeing that grew up smart and nerdy puts the pieces together.

When you think about it, Al had the last laugh. Whether he stole them or not, the airport is technically responsible for the loss of precious merchandise that was about to be sold for millions. All he has to do is find a lawyer and he has a strong legal case.

I would have 100% percent agree that the Toy Story 3 Incinerator Scene was the MOST DARKEST scene ever in any Pixar Film, especially Toy Story since we were about to witness the fate of our favorite toys but they were miraculously rescued by the Aliens.
I was satisfied that Lotso got picked by a garbage man and tied to the front his Front Loader truck along with the other stuffed toys. It serves that bear right for letting Andy’s toys face a fiery fate.

The scene when Wall-E is shocked, dropped unconscious, and thrown down the garbage shoot traumatized me as a kid. I loved that movie and thought he was dead. He wasn’t... but still.

Sid is just a poor kid who has trouble making friends in the hyper-capitalist world of Toy Story. Toy Story 4 had the evilest villain; Loneliness. The fact that all of the characters are terrified of being alone made the ‘antagonist’ a truly believable character and all the other protagonists also feel this fear of loneliness.

Mr. Waternoose is the evil out of all villains ran a child abduction operation for decades and was going to get off as the secret agent was about to pull out from her assignment.
While true, Syndrome killed multiple supers, lotso abused his own men and let the toys burn, randall literally smiles when boo's about to get her screams sucked out, Pixar has aton of fucked up villains ( also alot of villains commit attempted child murder including Syndrome, Charles muntz, Ernesto de la Cruz, and maybe randall, waternoose and hopper since we don't know if the scream extractor kills the kids as well since they have undeveloped lungs, and hopper is questionable since we don't know if he would have actually let thumper kill dot )

I would say that Waternoose and Stinky Pete have the same personalities. Both villains are self-entitled, disappointed, deluded, desperate, fearful, overbearing and panic-hungry. Waternoose was an elderly monster CEO, stressed out that Monsters Incorporated was in jeopardy of going out of business, due to an energy crisis, which showed that children were no longer afraid of monsters, prompting him to turn to Randall for help. Stinky Pete, on the other hand, was a bitter and resentful toy who spent his life unwanted by young customers at a store and Woody’s Roundup was losing its touch, due to childrens’ shifted interests in space toys, including Buzz Lightyear. Additionally, he pressured Woody to reside with him in Japan, due to his insecurities of being destroyed by children, especially after he learned that Andy had accidentally torn half of Woody’s arm. However, both villains have a soft, caring and remorseful side, as well as redeeming traits. One piece of evidence was that during the climax of Monsters Inc., Waternoose scolded Randall for having him banish Sulley and Mike, just as Randall prepared to expose Boo to The Scream Extractor, shortly before Sulley and Mike rescued Boo. Needless to say, at the end of Monsters Inc., Waternoose had a shameful look on his face, just as The CDA arrested him, which would probably imply that he really did regret being Randall’s henchman and that he really does care about Sulley and Mike. He was probably just torn between two teams and a painful choice, as well as overcoming an ongoing and difficult energy crisis. The other piece of evidence being that according to Disney Wiki, Pixar Wiki and Villains Wiki, there was an online interview on the Toy Story 2 website, released shortly after it was released and Stinky Pete appeared to have been adapted to being owned by Amy and complimenting her artwork, therefore having a change of heart. Stinky Pete is simply a prospector toy who wants to be loved and appreciated by children, as well as to protect other toys from getting destroyed and discarded by children. The point is, if these two villains got what they wanted, maybe they would’ve been beautiful butterflies emerging from their cocoons, rather than butterflies with a broken wing or antennae.

I feel like Ernesto's villainy was completely unnecessary for his goals considering that he could've easily just hired Hector as a ghostwriter and they both could've gotten what they wanted. Ernesto could've had the glory and Hector could've had a quiet life while living off of the royalties. It takes like, 5 seconds to think that through.
I feel like Muntz should be a bit higher, I mean, he possibly killed almost 20 explorers out of jealousy, tried to kill Carl and Russel and even tried to kill Russel in a weirdly sociopathic way

Months ago, I had a dream that a different family visited Charles Muntz and when a boy took an ancient artifact that Charles stole, he would frame the boy that he told the parents that their son stole something from him, but the boy is super smart for some reason. He crafted a hang glider and flew out holding that artifact because he couldn't risk punishment.
Syndrome is one of the best villians ever created, his plan is just genius and his idea of destroying the supers by making everyone a super is very deep and full of sense
The theory also says that he accidentally created BnL with the omnidroid.
Ironically we now know what a society of where everyone is super is like with My Hero Academia... which kinda means Syndrome's plan was doomed from the start.

Toy Story franchise (bad to most evil)
Al McWhiggin - Just some sneaky and greedy collector, selling Woody and Roundup Gang to make money. He doesn't treat people/employees nicely and considerably lazy - sleeps on the couch and complains going to work on Saturdays despite workplace across the road from his penthouse.
Sid Philips - Indeed he's more of an obnoxious bad-tempered teenager with a sadistic nature torturing sentient beings to his amusement, especially some Frankenstein/mad doctor operations in his room, which certainly gives a haunted house in horror movie. Plus, I wonder if he's clever yet big question how he gets his hands on rockets and explosives and not get caught setting them off
Stinky Pete - Quite a evil villain than Sid and Al McWhiggin, he initially seems a nice calm wise grandfatherly mediator to Woody, Jessie and Bullseye while manipulating Woody to stay and accompany to Japan. Also Kelsey Grammer voice performance is brilliant, even same as Sideshow Bob in *_The Simpsons_*
Lotso - Undoubtedly, biggest villain of all. By his outer nature he initially is gentle friendly and helpful to Woody and his friends when arrive before turning extremely oppressive dictator, ruling daycare centre with iron paw like a prison at night, and not forget biggest wrongdoing of attempting to murder Woody etc in the incinerator. Thought his punishment would be more justifiable
One thing that makes Hopper even more intimidating and memorable is when you find out the supposed controversy around his voice actor Kevin Spacey, somehow it makes it all the more uncomfortable to watch!😰
Even if the controversy doesn’t have any truth to it, it’s still something that will be lurking in the back of peoples minds whenever you watch a bugs life imo.

The main reason: the FIRST time he tries to kill Miguel (when he threw him in the hole so that he'd run out of time and die)--was when he thought Miguel was his OWN grandchild. Even most evil people love their family and would do anything to protect them. To kill your own children to protect your fame--that's a whole new level of evil, and makes him the most evil villain yet.
Even Mor'du went mad because of a spell. Hopper, despite being abusive to his brother, probably wouldn't have killed him--not only because the term "I'll kill you" in American English isn't usually used literally, but that he genuinely loves his late mother. And Syndrome was someone who was going for revenge and was obsessed with proving that heroes and their "powers" weren't that great.
But Ernesto? He's scary. He goes from honestly and lovingly doting on Miguel (who he believes is his grandson) and caring about his best interests--to immediately deciding that he has to get rid of him, even if it's his own blood, as a precaution to protect his image. And he's quickly okay with it. He has no desire for revenge driving him, no spell influencing his thoughts, no family bonds strong enough to keep anything in check. Just evil.
Agree. I also think Ernesto should be the number 1 evil. He literally kills his best friend and 'thought to be' family member. Treating people who have personal relations to you like that is just evil. At least for Syndrome, Mr Incredible was just an idol, and Mirage was like a staff/friends with benefits?, not as personal kind of connection as a best friend or 'family' member

I feel like Auto should be higher on the list. Sure, he was just following orders, but he nearly drove the entire human race to extinction and didn’t obey the commands of his captain. And chances are good he actually isn’t just a cold-blooded machine, too. Wall-e and the other robots clearly displayed emotions such as love and sadness, so why would it be illogical to assume Auto may have let the power go to his head?
