    ABOUT US:
We’re traveling full time, living on our own terms and showing you the up-close-and-personal details of us figuring it out along the way. Sometimes it’s about navigating big, life-altering decisions. Sometimes it’s about navigating the seemingly lawless free-for-all that is driving in Hanoi. It’s moments of triumph and moments of panic. The good, the bad, the ugly - and most importantly, the real and real funny.
We’re not here to tell you “how it’s done.” Just how we’ve done it. And that whatever it is that’s calling you - the way you’ll do it is much more attainable than it may seem. We believe the world’s a more interesting place when people reject convention in favor of what they actually care about. This is us putting that idea to the test - one budget spreadsheet, RV renovation and mountain-peak drone video at a time.

One form of transportation that you didn't get a chance to use was repositioning cruises. If you are flexible or don't like to fly and can wait until a week or two before you travel, check sites that show cruise rates. You'd be surprised on how little it costs. We use this method and it's a relaxing way to travel.

I have a friend that quit her job with her ex bf to do a RTW trip which ended up mainly being in Asia , Australia and the pacific. They weren't able to get to Europe because their year long trip came to a hault when they ran out of money. They did this in 2012. After they came back and told us about the trip we realized that the only thing related to backpacking was the fact that they had a backpack. They stayed in 5 star hotels and Airbnb's. They also rented a van for NZ. No wonder they ran out of money that quick 🤭

This is an excellent video.I tend to visit a number of different places on a trip. We did manage to visit Japan cheaply. We had one night in Osaka and two nights in Kyoto. We got to travel on some Japanese trains. We mixed it with Bangkok in Thailand and KL in Malaysia. I began a train trip in Europe at Amsterdam staying at a budget hotel in the outskirts. Then we ended our trip in Paris. My daughter loved us spending hours at the Eiffel Tower.

Great video. As you mentioned price changed a lot couple years ago comparing now. 4 years ago, my budget trip in thailand, daily cost was already 70USD per day (only food & accommodation). Any activities in thailand was very expensive already that i skipped most. Now is even more expensive.

I Project Managed for a big company for years and lived by spreadsheets, GOD I HATE spreadsheets. You do have an awesome build and will help people more than they realize. Really surprised you give it away you guys are great to give all this free help to people. But hey were is the bikini babe in the thumbnail? Spreadsheets and sweaters! You guys are great you show the worst of it and try hard to get people to understand that the best places are the hardest to get too. Man I am glad I found your YT, I do enjoy others also, but I do not need the 15 minutes about cabs etc some go on about. I am glad you tell how you got there and show the awesomeness of the site.

We traveled with 20 Euro (ca. 22USD) a day per person on the first part of our world trips. We think this is possible, even in Europe (fe couch surfing, buying food from local grocery stores, look up for discounts on attractions). Hope we can start traveling soon, when corona is over :D

nah i backpacked around the world with my brother for over a year and it cost about 15k for each of us. we went to over 45 different countries. Its really about how you budget and what you choose to spend money on. for us are entertainment and experiences were trying new local foods that were cheap and going to cultural sites or natural wonders that were both relatively free. making friends with locals is a great way to also save money and have an even better experience. 7

How much is your carbon footprint? That's the real question. Travelling around the world with long-haul flights is simply selfish and unsustainable.

Travel provides economic relief to those communities where they visit. It helps them get out of poverty and live a decent life. Who is selfish now?
