As an avid Kokanee fisherman I had to laugh when you said (2:29) "we're using a 8" leader" when Its a solid 18" behind the dodger and the bead chain will absorb a lot of wiggle from the dodger before it gets to the lure. For reference, s dodger has 2 purposes in life: 1. to create the low frequency vibration that fish are attracted to beyond visual range. 2. to transmit action on the lure to trigger a strike reaction. While I agree 8" is great, in this episode I would be surprised if you had much action being put on the lure from the dodger. That being said, you caught fish and I appreciate the video, i'm going to have to bight the gas bullet and tow the boat out to Wallowa Lake soon.
