DJ Lou follows the McDonald's of 90s rock so he can get drunk and rip butts. Jacob cries at CW shows and pretends he's a woodsman. Black Lou is the only member of the crew that isn't a sitcom character.
As a jam band fan who has a gen X MIL who follows Pearl Jam, I never understood it. I can only afford a couple Phish / Dead shows a year, but my MIL goes into credit card debt following Pearl Jam. A band that doesn't "jam" at all. Why see Yellow Ledbetter played the same way a dozen times live in a year? It's weird.
I don't really understand either fandom. I don't want to hear Yellow Ledbetter either, but if I want hours of improv I'll go see a jazz concert. We all have different tastes, and on top of that we have different hunger levels for them. Like, I love Sabbath but after seeing them once I was satisfied. Same with Jeff Beck. He's my all time favorite and he played different every show. If anything, I think we're kinda past the age of amazing concerts because of phones and how much the Internet has ruined our attention spans. Especially live music.
I love Soundgarden and alice in chains is cool but i never got into pearl jam at all. Eddie veder thinks he's way too important. I never understood why he wanted to be on hunger strike where Chris Cornell sung circles around him
i never liked Eddie as a person and would probably would have punched him in the face when he was doing his "obnoxious thing"...Still I love Pearl Jam and was a fan of all their music up until about a decade ago (the Lightning Bolt album) when they just turned into grandfathers playing mid tempo rock to a bunch of moms and dads (which is fine but not very inspiring) I love Soundgarden and AIC as well
I Love Tool. I love a lot of bands. DJ Lou’s Love for Pearl Jam(a band I Love) is up there with Bruce Springsteen Fan’s.. I mean I get liking them but God Dang Dude, ya sound like a psycho.
Pearl Jam is for people who do not like rock music but want to be able to tell folks they are rock fans... the first three albums in the 1990s were good but not great then the fourth album was a turd and the fifth album was ok and obviously i never heard another song... fax!!!
I think Vitology was their only decent album. Alice in Chains and Soundgarden are much better examples of 90's rock music that still holds up today IMO
@@illuminahdeComparing Pearl Jam to Soundgarden might seem appropriate, but it's really not in my eyes. Soundgarden was an odd duck in terms of grunge. A majestic, monolithic, odd duck.
@@DocTwizzle23 its rock music for middle aged white suburban ladies which is to say it does not rock... the Mount Rushmore of Overblown Rock with Bob Dylan & Bruce Springsteen & U2... fax!!!
@@shawnmcvey7789 I just meant in teams of _good_ representatives for Seattle 90's Rock music. Hell, I would much rather listen to Stone Temple Pilots over Pearl Jam. Nirvana even. And yeah, you're right. Soundgarden was much better than just a grunge band.
Bobby- “I don’t wanna make fun of your life’s work, dude” 🤣
He's more upset about the prospect of criticism of the song than the actual creators lol
Lou's life's work 😂😂😂
Lou's Pearl Jam Syndrome is hilarious
Anyone know the old pearl jam song he played as a fake out at 8:35? It wasnt on Ten or the song Daughter and it didn't suck so far, so im intrigued.

Black Lou's the straight man on the sitcom to really highlight the insanity

As a jam band fan you’re no better.
This guy is unstable between this and when they messed with him about his big ass the dude is ready to kill over a joke lol
very reasonable way of showing people new Pearl Jam tbh
lou rules so fucking hard!
DJ Lou is softer than baby shit...to think that Joe List and the rest of the Bonfire would influence his "life's work"...😂
@12:31 😂 btw hair bands >> grunge

Thanks boss
Lol why is bobby such a shithead to Lou? Then he cries when he gets it back hahaha
I really like their new album was Joe List is right…the sound mix is all over the fucking place
more quiet talking into a mic so I have to lean in???? skpping
Ten to vitalogy and that's it. Temple of the dog also. Everything after is just dreck.
Lou is such a shill lol, just because they release new music doesn't mean you have to auto like it... typically newer music from older bands is lame.
