- This is the biggest rage game EVER!!! This is a game that I have been playing for over 10 years and still to this day, I can not unlock the last few levels!

This game is actually really fun on multiplayer.
I feel like Uka Uka or Aku Aku should've been the final bosses.
Fighting Oxide for no reason at the end felt so forced and out of place.
I felt they put him in the game as the final boss he the 1st final boss in a crash game that wasn't cortex so they wanted to use him more eventhought he wasn't in anyway involved in the story

STILL the opposing mask feels like an obvious choice, or they could have just made an original boss.
Wait, so if you beat the game with a bad guy uka uka gets all the power crystals and takes over the world leaving Crash and Coco to fend for themselves and hide and most likely get spotted by uka uka and die? WTF! What kind of ending is that!?!?!?
personally i prefer the tiebreaker ending. beat adventure mode with 2 players, 1 as a good character and 1 as an evil character. the masks tell you to defeat your teammate, which means you go 1v1 against your partner in a jungle bash clone to determine whether you get the good ending or bad ending!
You see this ending if you lead the forces of evil to victory. What ending did you expect?
They actually should've continue this path with CTR and CNK. If bad guys win they blow the shit out of Oxide and Velo

This is one game I found unexpectedly amazing, I would have gave 8/10!
Despite changing studios which is kind of worrying me, it does retains all the smell of the original trilogy + CTR while turned into a party game. The insane unlocking difficulty, the details such as different ability for each characters. The extra area after completing a game, just like old game devs likes to do but nowadays they are just lazy and post-game content is just trying to collect missed things. The clever little changes to the level but significant when you actually play it, just like various dawn/night version in Crash 3. The boss fight that I can feel it is "exclusive" and not a lazy work. Having goes over 100% in Crash 3, I enjoyed the challenge and design in this game greatly. (It is rage inducing, but I keep coming back to the game day after day so I guess that works... There's one day that I just popping balloons from morning to night) In all further PS2 and further crash games I cannot feel any of this "fingerprint". I do feel it is kind of a low production cost game, but it's definitely better than 6/10 if you ask me. Just imo.

I started a co-op with one of my best friends and STILL, TO THIS DAY....have not finished it. Our save file dates back to 2008. Yep, almost 10 years. We are on the final warp room after beating Nitrous Oxide and STILL, CANNOT beat some of those remaining challenges. We have just about every single trophy, gem, crystal only to learn there are platinum relics to get.....*sigh*
Still a great game though.

I endured every frustration you had with this game and I consider it one of my all time favorite ps1 games. My advice is Git Gud.
Tiny kind of makes sense because he worked for N. Brio. Cortex even called Tiny his enemy in Crash 2 so it's kind of weird that Tiny is one of his most loyal henchmen in later games.

Morgorath30 Crash's design in the new Skylanders is very reminiscent of many parts of the original concept art for Crash, with the massive head and all. It's not a perfect incarnation, but it's a hell of a lot better than the Titans and Mutants designs. He looks much better than Spyro did.
***** I agree on it having some ideas from old Crash. But the final makeup of this new model just doesnt look right. He just looks plastic. Not to mention Crash Bandicoot always gave me a cool vibe, now hes giving me a scary vibe lol. Either way though you're right on one thing, Crash still does look better than Spyro's reincarnation.

Also, one thing about the Komodo bros is quite funny. The healthbars are reversed. Joe gets moe's mughost, while Moe get's Joe's. Really weird.

I can feel the pain your going through the first few seconds of the video, it was the crystal challenge of the Pogo level in the first warp room wasn't it (damn mushrooms)? Took me an endless time to beat it with a bit of rage to get 200% completion. Crash Bash, fun game but will make you have your rage moments in adventure mode.
If it's party mode it is more fun, for me of course. Also I feel I'm the only one who didn't have much trouble beating that???? I mean, it was kinda difficult, I apologise for the rage that happened to you, I know that feel in so many other times there...

I know how you feel. A few weeks ago I decided to play this game again thinking I could handle it. I was wrong. The game made me rage so much I felt like I could explode into a million pieces. I got so angry I broke the glass on the outside of the game cover not entirely but I still cracked it from hitting it so hard. I don't know how I did it but somehow I managed to unlock every level in the game. It feels so satisfying to be able to unlock every level in that goddamn game. Still though that game can go to hell. I got screwed over so many times by the computer players. Also even though I beat the game I don't care about getting all the gems, crystals or relics, I just wanted to unlock all the levels.

I cant 100% this game. I picked coco (because she's the bae) and I simply just cant. I remember the Sky Balls Crystal challenge and I was on that level for almost a WHOLE day. NOPE. I cannot beat this game. The only levels I truly enjoy and the pogo levels. I usually pick hard and team it depending on how I feel. Love the game, but the difficulty is indeed all over the place with this one.

I used to play this all the time when I was younger, it was the only Crash game I had for PS1. Bad thing was, I had no PS1 memory card and for some reason it took me forever to realise that you can't save PS1 game-data onto a PS1 memory card so I'd get to about the 2nd warp room and then 'attempt' to save, almost every week I did this. For some reason I can't find any of the PS1 games I owned when I was younger, I assume they got chucked out, so now I've asked for some for Christmas. Great review, best review for this game. I actually remember seeing a review bashing (no pun intended) this game for not being developed by Naughty Dog... how can you hate this game?

Platinums are almost impossible to achieve on certain levels. I cannot even get any golds on Panic levels (except Manic Panic, where you can solve your problems by just spamming bombs)
Believe it or not but after around 13 years if its release I've managed to take 200% percent of the game! But I'm not going to have this experience ever again because I was ready destroy my PSP...
Not gonna lie, I remember at school we had an activity room that had a TV with a PlayStation and a copy of Crash Bash. I remember dying a lot and I even threw the controller to the ground.

I loved this game as a kid but i have to agree with you.
The dificulty in the story mode is fucking insane.
The problem is how they handled the AI.
The game would put a harder Ai on you depending on how many consecutive victories you had.
But the obly way the AI decreases its Ai is by losing 10 fucking times.
Which means that unless you do the harder challenges early game your'e fucked(well to be honest your'e fucked anyways by the mid-game).
What i do like about the story mode are the cristal challenges sure they are hard but some of them are pretty fun and add a twist to the game.

Crash Bash was the first game I ever played.
when I first played this, I was like 5, and I thought that is was crash and Coco, vs tiny, dingo dile, cortex, doctor n brio, koala Kong, and Bonkey Donk. I feel like they should've made it more clearer who was good and bad, since I didn't understand who was who. when you picked the charecters, they should've said something like "heroes" over crash, Coco, tiny, and dingo and "villans" over cortex, n brio, koala Kong, and Bonkey donk. I just now figured out who is who, since I got rid of my old PS2, and obviously can't play this game anymore.

This game has a bad story mode but awesome for local MP.
Love your Crash reviews dude, had me in stitches multiple times! The first 30 seconds is so accurate. "YOU FAIL!!" still rings in my ears even to this day!! All in all a great game though. Difficult, incredibly frustrating and downright unfair at times I'll admit, but still a great game. This game goes up to 200% and in my co-op game mode which I'd recommend as it's easier and definitely more fun playing with a friend, our save file is currently at 198%!! All we need is the platinum relic for N. Ballism!!!

We played as Tiny and Koala who are definitely the best characters!
We also got the secret crate crush level at the end as our team had both good and evil characters.

I can agree with you on unlocking the last few levels. I started a play through when I was 5 with my older brother, this summer, we unlocked everything and it was a bitch. Great review btw, I enjoyed all of your Crash Reviews since they all stuck with me so close throughout my life.
I love this game for one reason: N.Brio is playable. That's awesome! Why isn't he playable more often?! I mean, he..was in..the first...GAME!!! lol It's an ok game. If you play it alone, it's very boring and becomes grating very quickly.
Crash and Coco are a WEAK team. Choose Koala Kong and Tiny
The gold relics are definitely challenging but so far I’ve been able to win all but two of them, that’s 26 of 28 btw. It can be hard, but it’s doable, what actually feels impossible at times is doing the platinum relics for some of these stages at 200%

I managed to beat the main story with every character except for Brio and Cortex. I just couldn't use them right, I don't know why. I did it 1st with Crash and Coco, because they're the 2 main characters, and it just right to use them 1st. Then I used Tiny and Koala Kong, I completely wrecked the levels and bosses with those 2, my friends thought they were overpowered but I just knew how to use them like a boss. And finally I used Dingodile and Rilla Roo. I used them well for most games, except for the fucking Tank Wars games, which made the Komodo Bros a bitch to beat.
And Rilla Roo is fucking amazing. People always say he is irrelevant to the franchise. That's funny cause I hear a lot of people talk about him in a positive way. Honestly he's underrated because for some reason, Bash was his only appearance. I hope he is put back into the franchise and gets the respect he deserves some day.

1:54 - 2:04: My only guess is that Aku Aku forgot that he wasn't suppose to fight against his brother, but only stabilize him. I can understand that, but that doesn't excuse why N. Brio is helping Cortex in this game, when N. Brio has a vendetta against Cortex in Crash 2 (2:15 - 2:30). Also, N. Brio was the one who created Tiny, before Tiny joined Cortex's side, so it would be nice if Both N.Brio and Tiny was on Crash's side, rather than Dingodile. Besides, Kanga-Rilla has no proper backstory, in terms of who created Kanga-Rilla. Crash Bash never explained who created Kanga-Rilla, so it would've been nice if N. Brio and Tiny were the only ones who joined Crash's Team.
My sister and I played this game, we had to do it twice cause the memory card corrupted itself (summat weird happened with it anyway) never finished the game (like you say its just waaaay to hard) but we got somewhere around 151-172% done. I'd have to check the card for the exact %.

Rilla Roo is stupid. He only appeared in this game, and Adventure Mode is only good when you have a friend to help you. Not recommended. 2/5 for me. I prefer the Mario Party games especially 8 and 9, because Birdo is in those 2 games.
You missed one of the things on the game, you vcan complete it 200% if you collect everything. There are these platinum things that are even more unfair... The difficulty on most stages is pretty easy but when you get to the ping pong atages, it's all hell lose...

The story is that aku aku and uka uka are farting again, and they need to find out who is superior, good or evil. Uka uka is ready to fart, but aku aku claims that the ancients would not allow it.
because these two softies are not allowed to fart, they summon a team of players. (Likely for a farting competition no less, I would think evil farts are more potent, though.)

Square Eyed Jak don't u hate it when when you've won 2 out of 3 matches and your thinking ok just one more to go but sometimes one cpu will be seriously better than usual and will be beating the other cpu it scores 2 games then the pressures on then u have games all the cpu is scoring which seems normal it's pretty strange at times
