Tokyo Groove Jyoshi is one of the best bands i've seen lately, they write and perform great music, look good, have vibrant personalities and are willing to travel and perform. If after years of hard work music world will not recognize them, it will mean that something is very wrong with the music world. It seems like music industry got too "spotified", so to speak and bands like TGJ is not for everyone. But the band itself is a good sign for all of us. If at least we, bunch of people on the internets, know them, let's hope music\tour business dudes will finally turn their head in the right direction.
You are very talented and great people. I love your music and all the other people you collaborate with. You are welcome to come back any time. Thank you for accepting Australia as we are and thanks for learning English.

I too missed Shinobu (shamisen) and Harumo (tenor sax) but they aren't necessary to enjoy TGJ and their schedules don't always allow them to do tours like this.

I'm from Canada, and I have a lot of respect for the Japanese willingness to wear a mask for health benefits of the individual and society, nobody loves wearing them, but never wearing them (including when sick, or especially during a pandemic!) seems as insane as putting a jug of water in the freezer to boil it. I have to wear a heavy duty one for work regularly, and I would have developed serious issues if I didn't. So what if it's a bit harder to communicate with coworkers, we're already in a loud-as-hell factory that requires ear plugs, throwing a mask in doesn't make things a whole lot worse, and the benefits are immense. When I lived in a city with lots of internationals, I would even see people wearing masks while biking on busy streets, usually by Asians who didn't want to develop smoker's lung from cycling near traffic. I hope you didn't get too much hassling from weirdos over wearing basic safety gear! I really enjoyed these vlogs, and I hope you guys do vlogs again when you go on tour next, it's nice to hear updates!
Be patient and you will become a global band. What you do is unique and interesting. Always entertaining. You have to remember that most Americans aren't cultured, which explains the popularity of Brittney Spears, Beyonce and Taylor Swift. All complete lightweight garbage. You are elite and will appeal to a more musically educated audience who appreciate world class musicianship and creativity. Be safe
