Great reaction!! At the end, Nao (drummer) is telling them that "People aren’t even using WINNY these days." so the whole protest aspect of the song was basically a joke. While a lot of their songs have a comedic element, if you want to check out a serious song, I would recommend Yoshu Fukushu. I would actually read the lyrics first so you understand what is going on, also it is helpful to know that Nao is Ryokun's big sister, as that is referenced in the lyrics. Cheers.
4:15 Many people think that that part of the video is similar to Chop Suey by System of a Down but in truth it is more of a reference to Around the World by Red Hot Chili Peppers, they are big fans of RHCP
Awesome I love this band There's isnt really any other band like them out there. Some people say Alifdopa, but for me that band is to random. I think the closest to Maximum has to The Mad Capsule Markets. Maximum made a song called "Abara Capsule Market Bob" as a tribute to Mad. And one Mads fomer member Kyono made a song called "Wagdug Futuristic Unity- Systematic People" which features Ryo from Maximum.
Here's a comparison which I haven't heard anyone mention. Electric Callboy. I'm sure they're fans. Yeah they don't sound that alike but the genre switching and going heavy AF while still being fun - these guys have been doing that for years. Koi No Mega Lover was probably the song which got me into Maximum The Hormone. Mixed J-pop with metal and somehow it worked. Both great bands. I might be alone in thinking there's a connection there.
Attempting to explain the song as we picked it up in comments and makes sense to us. The band starts playing concerts in underground clubs with very hard music. The band becomes better known and can make music videos with optical effects. After all, the band is very well known and is crying because some people upload their music to Winny, while the music becomes softer. In the end the band is still crying about Winny while they sell themselves for everything but don't make heavy music anymore.
I've never seen them live but I found a full concert of theirs on what I guess is a chinese youtube website called bilibili. They were amazing. Incredible energy.
I think others have already explained the Winny thing. MtH and SoD have both been going about 23 years and though MtH are more likely to have initially heard SoD than vice versa, it is somewhat western centric for some people to assume a one way influence. In detail MtH are quite unique. Also people recommend Alien to watch the shock/confusion on the reactor’s face midway; you didn’t comply to expectations
Nice reaction! From my understanding they were not actually protesting Winny. They were making fun of the bands that protested Winny. Apparently in their opinion, Winny wasn't as serious as it was made out to be. If you noticed, tge singer has fake tears on his face towards the end of the song. This band is great 🤘😊🤘

Another cool song to check out by them is Yoshu Fukushu 🤘😊🤘
Trad: Preemptive Revenge
Songs to check out "What's up 0:22 People" and " Zetsubou Billy" both songs were featured in the Death Note Anime series.
The Winny thing is a satire about Metallica suing Napster (file sharing program) ... but Winny was already dead when they did this song.
This song literally has nothing to do with Metallica.
Awesome

Please react to Yoshu Fukushu, a wonderful song
MTH don't usually go from A to B to C. It's more like A to D to C to K to B then back to A 🤘😁🤘
Check “ yoshu fukushu”, “tsume tsume tsume”, “F”
MtH have a new release due out June 19th
