    “The only thing that is actually doing the thing is DOING THE THING”. Action is something that is important, taking the first step may be hard but it will be rewarding in the end. Also, the book Courage to be Disliked is great, I’ve read it 2 years ago and I still cherish the lessons. It would be nice to read it again.

    James I can wholeheartedly reccomend a lumie SAD lamp or another SAD lamp for your home study sessions. As a fellow student in the UK, sunlight is hard to come by for as long as the brain/body needs, and this light helps bridge the gap and has absolutely boosted my productivity and energy levels. It improves my sleep too. Worth checking out. Keep it up!

    Hey, hope u r doing well. Recently been doing anki but today it took me 2 hours to complete 29 cards. Do you have any tips on where I’m going wrong and I feel like I’m spending too much time on the cards?

    • @jallmo
      @jallmo  7 місяців тому

      I feel the same sometimes. for me doing proofs each card can take a while but i would be spendin most of your time aculay writing down the answer not finding more information. only look stuff up if you have a specific quiestoin about the card. this addon = ankiweb.net/shared/info/759018284 ... has really helped me. you can copy the note you are reviewing into a new add back and split the flashcard up into multiple ones. this helps also if you want to make another flahscard from a question you have looked up and it adds it in the same deck from which you are reviewing from. hope that helps (:

    Hi James, how do you use anki/flashcards to study for engineering? It's very problem solving based and not memorization exactly so how would one incorporate that into anki?

    • @jallmo
      @jallmo  7 місяців тому

      I Use it to store my tutorial questions and the perfect solutions then on the extra have more information for understanding. i use it as a second brain mostly and a way to store my understanding then memorise that for my exams but only the essential stuff.
