Did anyone else notice that at the end when the horse was grazing, when it would lift its head up, if you look at the throat area you can actually see it chewing!!

For me, rdr2 is the best horse game by far that I've seen with the most realistic horse models and animations, but maybe that's just me. The controls are easy too, and it really feels like you can connect with your horse.

I remember in an old game I used to play, Legacy of Rosemond Hill, you could carry the tack to your horse and saddle them up. Its a really old game from back in the year 2000. I still remember that game fondly.

There are actually many pc horse games where you can carry the tack. They're available from cd's though, ...or through piracy :+
You should play My riding stables 2! Its an old game but a personal favourite of mine! You can breed, carry tack, lead your horse, train foals and run a while riding facility! And you can have guests that stay overnight, do compatitions, your house can get sick, you can give vaccines and buy food etc! Oh did i also mention there is multiple tack and clothing options?
Hey Abby just so you know Rotate the jumps there is a Drag bar above the Set Jump that you are looking at after placing the jump when you re click on the jump to duplicate or whatever. and yes That game is absolutely coming along fantastic I am as well a Patron and Mindev is doing amazing so far
Hello names Tyiarra - this is an alt account - sorry for that - anyways Im nearly 50 years old and been waiting all my life for a game like this. As you mentioned Red Dead was the closest to being able to ride a horse again, but it just didnt do "it" for me. Ive been wanting to build and raise horses like THIS!! Ive just found your video and they are getting another sub! I will share this with my horse loving family - I grew up raising and showing Arabians all my life so this is going to be so nice to get my hands on thank you for sharing!!
I love the mechanics of the wii horse game and the Barbie mystery horse game was my absolutely perfect game as a kid
I absolutely love when you walk on the sand and you can see the hoof prints 🤩🐎✨
1 thing I hope they will add that I hate when horse games leave out is turning the grooming into activities. For example it will zoom in on the hoof and you have to actually clean the dirt out, or run the brush over the whole body to get the dirt off etc vs just an animation. It's more fun to feel like you're actually cleaning the horse vs watching an animation. I've seen alot of DS games have the interactive grooming but not PC games for some reason.
I'd like to see this as well as maybe some pointers for how it should be in rl to give it that feel

A small detail but a profound one, I love that the character posts as the horse trots. I haven’t seen that in a game with horses until now. Usually in a sitting trot which slightly irks me lol. Great review and great video!
well things are very realisct, soooo maybe you need to put the saddle pad first before the saddle? idk 😅maybe that's why the animation is not working

what if there were a trust system with the horse, where at some level of trust you would no longer have to tie it up to do things like groom or walk away? maybe a horse with less trust is likely to walk off whereas a horse with high trust will stand still and wait for you
I have no idea if you'd even see this comment, but if you do, I would like to recommend a Wii game. It's called, Gallop and Ride. It is VERY fun! It does require a Wii, and it is a disc, so just be aware of that. But other than that, I think you'd be really amazed by the graphics/controls and smoothness of the game! ( you can carry the tack) *more like, you HAVE to carry it to your horse, but still*.

while horse is the term for horses above :D
these are terms that people of the Equestrian world actually use, to define breeds into categories ect.

I will say if the devs are reading comments, one if the main things I noticed that is making the animation a twinge stiff is the lack of shoulder animations, adding a bit of shoulder recoil on the player will definitely elevate the collectivity of the animation, especially while riding!
Every animation (horse and player) gets a rework, just be a little patient ♥

Some old pc games had it where you had to carry the saddle. My riding stables, Horse academy 2, and one I don’t know the name of but you could choose between 3 'careers' of breeding, teaching and I think just owning the holiday riding camp or whatever, but it was basically the same thing (have to buy all those buildings etc), it was sort of like My riding stables but the graphics were this odd 3D-2D thing

Not hating, but if a horse game doesn’t have a)horse creation or tons of breeds and b) isn’t a huge open world then I can’t get into them.
Hence, I like red dead redemption, Star stable and sims 3 for horse games and I haven’t found anything that really compares to them yet
If they haven't added it already maybe they can add different breeds of horses? But they have been doing GREAT with this game! I will definitely get this game when it comes out!
