Imagine you’ve worked 16hr double shift, after it’s been raining all day. The wait time is 30min plus and once you have a chance to get on, the bus is packed like sardines. I’d rather walk to my car in the rain
Night time is def the worst! But also, coming into work wait times are bad and we are late due to buses. But we take the penalty for being late even though we came to work 30-1 hr early. (Unpaid)
0:50 Anytime you see employees with clear backpacks it's a terrible company. Use this to your advantage during a job interview, ask If clear bags are mandatory. If, so, don't take the job and tell them why so they get the point of how demeaning the company has become.
@@Nova-m8d Not exactly. In my neck of the woods, when you see workers with a protective vest and a clear backpack, that usually means they’re in a work release program. Not to mention a mobile device they’re required to carry.
Looks like the issue is the bus size. These buses look to be 35 ft instead of the normal 40ft. Also, they should have 1 60 ft in the rotation and double up on 60 fts during shift changes.
I work at the airport and working at night is difficult... many times the bases are very full and you have to wait for long hours... at the beginning of this month because there was a lot of traffic and I didn’t pass the bus, I touched walking and I twisted my foot, because in the grass, the differences in levels and the little visibility that there is... still quite hurts my foot, and eh had to be outside of work.. should be better conceived of us to work
I seen them walk. It is a damn shame that we treat them like this. But also at a logical level, if we want the airport to function better then we need better working conditions for the people keeping it running.
Because there often aren't sidewalks, and the ground around the shoulder is often uneven, or with serious holes. In addition, if the grass hasn't been cut recently, you also have the chance of spiders or snakes or other critters. We have at least two species of deadly spider, and we have a lot of cottonmouth snakes, who are more deadly the younger they are. We also have people drive like absolute lunatics here. Where I'm at, if you drive for five miles, you'll probably find 5 crosses memorializing someone who was hit and killed on the side of the road.

Just put the time clock in the employees parking lot, and those buses will suddenly be faster.

Be mindful that if the designated employee bus gets in an accident or is disabled and you are late for your shift you will get points.

That’s a TSA thing. If you want to work for an airline at an airport but you can’t deal with that, don’t waste your time applying for a job there.
@@Nova-m8d Some of the workers could be in a work release program. It could also be, like the other commenter mentioned, a TSA thing.
@@wturner777 No
@@chuckpadgettmusic No it's not a TSA thing. Most distribution centers do the same thing. It's what the corporate world has become, a police state.

It's worse at night after 11pm

Add more MF buses and make all the buses electric

Very UNSAFE
Why do Americans see walking as a dangerous activity?

@@EALoArt Wow, everywhere else on earth walking is pleasant. People even trek to work to save money.
Because it is. In most of America there’s not enough safer pedestrian and cycling infrastructure. But they make a shitload of highways though. 🤔
Same reason most people don’t let their kids play in traffic.
@@chuckpadgettmusic It's not the same, children in other countries walk to school and even use public transportation.
