Had 1 toilet out of 5 at a restaurant that had a problem not Flushing properly, appears the wrong flush valve was installed, instead of having 3.5 gallon per flush, it was only 1 gallon. Changed to the correct flush valve and problem was solved.
The flush on the toilets is very poor. The toilet pans only have a small trapway. And with a poor flush of course there is going to be blockages. The owners need to replace those toilets and use high level cisterns.
I just about saw the flush button panel for them = those are dual-flush toilets that have not been properly adjusted for half & full flush, by the plumber that installed them and the building management/owner that doesn’t know how to adjust it 😠, those are not “eco-low flush toilets
1st; 🙄 - mis-adjusted dual-flush toilets. 2nd; the sewage flow in that manhole was weird = flowing away from the Windsor trap (when normally it leaves the manhole through one)
I think I asked this before, but why can't you pour some hydroclauric acid in each. Leave it 20 mins and it clears it all as it reacts with the urine salts. No need for all the effort with machines and taking apart the plumbing.
Its a H&S insurance thing and carrying chemicals on the van and all that stuff, the reason we don tis more if someone goes in an its still on the urinal and splashes back at them etc we would be liable for it and stuff like that
That blocked server, does the blockage begin forming at the outlet into the manhole and then extend back up the pipe or does it form higher up and then push down towards the outlet? Reason I ask that if it forms at the outlet, would cutting the benching to form more of a fantail maybe prevent the blockage from binding in the first place? Also, why is the drain flowing away from the windsor trap? Never seen that before, possible replacement?
to be honest there is just so little fall on this pipe it blocks about half way and over time slowly pushes its way thru bit at a time and never makes it with enough flow to the manhole.
So many different things that can go wrong with the drainage system, glad we have professionals to fix them!

I think this is probably a similar situation here in don’t get involved to much with clean water but hopefully they get the right person to fix it

The flushes are awful at this site, you don’t see many high level cisterns in the UK anymore but they would do the job 👍🏻

That windsor trap is weird i cant work out why they have done that
