    Fun fact, you can make effective primitive anti bacterial soap out of calcium carbonate (seashells reduced to powder) effectively creating a stone that protect you from many sickness.
    You can also use calcium carbonate to mixt with the ground in order to eliminate hydrogen ion from your soil, making it better for having good harvest.
    It can also be mixed with sand in order to create mortar, a weaker version of cement.

    As a Greek, please show your sources because this is how history gets misinterpreted and our ancient Greek language is already poorly translated by many foreigners who confuse words' meanings in ancient Greek with their modern meaning.

      Yeah exactly. One of the worst things is that Greek is not as specific as English so people take Greek words to mean WAY more specific things and go off and say something means it doesn't mean and specifies something it doesn't specify.
      Most likely this is one account of someone using a stone, so "ancient Greeks used to do this." One person or a very small group in a unique situation does does something - it's obviously completely common. 😂

    Nice video. Boiling or leaving things for hours in iron cookware will have the metal leach even without some acidic components in the food. You could try to use a wooden masher to thicken broths and speed processes inside the iron pot or you could even try a stone pot or pan depending on the civilization and period you’re emulating.
    The iron in gray food really tastes bad…

    Cleaning with stones is so effective. We still do it. Once you do it, soap and scrubber never feels the same and you never feel squeaky clean without the stone scrubbing

      @kriswest6442 nowadays, people are insecure, they have no manners, society is messed up, countries being destroyed, leaders are weak and don't know how to lead a country, corruption is everywhere. But back then, 1500 years ago in the middle east, it was peak heaven, society was really strong especially during the era of Prophet Mohammed. It was much easier to live.

    I know all of these, but it depends on how you tell them! The stones were actually ceramic from broken vases that were smoothed out and not so painful. Also that Chastity belt? I am not sure it was always on (or if it even existed).

    I'm not sure if this relates back to the ancient times, but it can be said that combatants compete naked and covered in oil so that their opponent has nothing to grab onto. Grapples of any kind would be impossible. That could just be an old pro wrestling technique (though they don't compete fully naked), or be rooted in ancient combat sports.
