This card reader has been great for me the last year and a half. Now it suddenly wont show in explorer. Apperently they dont use drivers??? I fugured I needed to update a driver?
How long does the contact plates on the connector slot typically last on an SD card or usb? Does anyone know? i imagine if you are constantly plugging it in and taking it out would cause wear and connection instability?
I'm thinking of getting this so my husband can view his game camera photos.. wondering if it will let is view them directly they our TV (has at least 1 USB) or even DISH Hopper (latest version of it and has a USB as well). We often plug my old laptop into the TV for larger images but would love to cut out the "middle man" so to speak. If not this one, can you recommend something that should work?

Yes, I just checked. This card reader is compatible with all the following types of cards: SCXC, SDHC, SD, MMC, RS-MMC, Micro SDXC, Micro SD, and Micro SDHC.
It should work if you connect this adapter to a USB C to USB A adapter, but since the iPad Pro 2018 has a USB C port I would instead recommend a USB C card reader. The adapter in this video would probably be more ideal for a device with a USB A port, such as a laptop or computer 👍
Yes, it should have no problem there. This card reader follows standard USB protocol so as long as your 4k TV has a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port it should be able to read and play media files through this adapter.
From what I've read it is compatible with Mac OS X 10.2 and above. So as long as your MacBook has a standard USB 3.0 port it should work. However, I've never had an Apple computer so I'm not 100% sure. I use mine with a Windows PC.

After you plug in this adapter to your computer's USB port you then insert the SD or microSD card into the adapter's slot. From there you should be able to go into your computer's folders and see the files in your SD or microSD card. If you want to move music files you would first go into your iTunes music folder on your computer and then drag the files over to the SD or microSD card.

I'm glad you found it easy to use too. You shouldn't have to download any software for it. It is just a card reader for your SD or microSD cards.

You can use a standard 2.0 adapter but if you have a USB 3.0 port on your computer than the data transfer would be faster using the 3.0 adapter.
