  • ✨HAPPY FRIDAY MY ATL🍑 FAMILY In today's video, I share my insights on if you should buy vs rent your home🏠 when moving to a new city, while moving to Atlanta! One of the main key factors of really enjoying your stay here in Atlanta is based on your location of where you live. Be sure to do as much research before making a final decision on actually purchasing💲 a home in a new city, especially if you don't know much about the area or the property. Any who! Start planning your move🧳 now! Get organized, get prepared, You can do it !!!
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
✨Deciding between renting and buying when moving to a new city depends on various factors such as your financial situation, long-term plans, housing market conditions, and personal preferences. Here's a breakdown to help you make an informed decision:
    ✨Renting:
Flexibility: Renting provides more flexibility, especially if you're uncertain about your future plans or how long you'll stay in the new city.
Lower initial costs: Renting usually requires lower upfront costs compared to buying, as you won't need a down payment or incur additional expenses such as property taxes and maintenance.
Less responsibility: As a renter, you're not responsible for major repairs or maintenance of the property. This can be beneficial if you prefer not to deal with homeownership responsibilities.
Easier relocation: When it's time to move again, you won't have to worry about selling your property, which can sometimes be a lengthy and uncertain process.
    ✨Buying:
Investment: Buying a home can be seen as an investment, as you're building equity over time. If property values in the new city are expected to appreciate, buying might be financially advantageous in the long run.
Stability: Homeownership offers stability and a sense of permanence, which can be particularly appealing if you plan to settle down in the new city for the long term.
Freedom for customization: As a homeowner, you have the freedom to customize and renovate your property according to your preferences, without needing permission from a landlord.
Potential tax benefits: Homeownership may come with tax benefits such as deducting mortgage interest and property taxes from your taxable income, potentially reducing your overall tax burden.

I will be moving to Atlanta next year around March and I’m excited for the move. You’re right though. It’s better to rent until you’re sure that you want to live in that city and where you want to live. I lived in Denver for 23 years and know the feeling of being outbid on properties. Which is why I decided to relocate. Keep up the good work.

I still would like to visit Atlanta at some point before making a major decision.

Yes! I agree, definitely visit more before moving if you can, and not only on the weekends try visiting during weekdays to really see how the day-to-day flows here! You can get a idea of what it's like🙂
