The writing and editing on this video is actually mind numbingly good! Great job Fredrik thank you for helping us learn how to be better athletes. A true Athletics Philosopher.

Everyone can talk and make UA-cam videos, it comes naturally. Yes, but you can have acting techniques, write a script and make it extremely enjoyable to watch... But why would you do that?? I don't know... 😂 Great sense of humour and style, Frederik!

    This video is so underrated.
I find it really entertaining and funny 👍
Such a creative way to explain the very obvious facts of people not understanding the complexity of running.😆
    I myself thought that
“running can’t be THAT complicated!!” … until I started joining marathons 😅

Ha ha ha - making videos and editing them, obviously comes naturally, and yet you seem to be improving, Fredrik! ...must be the practice.... 😆. I really enjoyed the way this was put together - both on a technical level as well as the construction of the argument. It reminded me of some nonsense nursery stories making a point that I had listened to as a child, that go; "...but except for", and the list of exceptions just gets longer. Anyway, point well made.

I think the thing that makes me happiest is learning that Lope Technique is what we're learning :)

Somehow no one ever said: "Swimming just comes naturally, your body will find a way!", maybe because they all drowned.

I get what you are trying to say. However, you are also doing a great job debunking some common, incorrect advice on running form, so it seems that, for most people, taking just any course on running technique might make their form worse. It is also true that people can improve their form and thereby do various simple movements better. But many people naturally discover a unique form that suits them best without coaching. Monica Seles's two-handed forehand in tennis is an example that comes to mind. I think coaching is a shortcut that seems easier and better for me personally (with the right coach), but I also think it's possible to just naturally find the smoothest, most relaxed, and fastest way to run through sheer repetition.

Thoughts on “chi running” course or certification?

There are things that are pretty good, but in Chi Running they say that it is your forward lean that controls your pace. If that were the case, the fastest runners should be leaning forward the most. But that is not the case. I have made a video about how wrong it is. You can find it here on my channel.

I was half expecting him to go out running with a technique worthy of the ministry of silly walks in the end

running comes naturally...running at elite levels does not.

Lol this video had no logical need to be this long, but you just kept humiliating these people again and again. Absolute classic.

I always believe that to be true, when I tried I felt unnatural and didn’t stick to it.

I see. So just because you didn't understand how to improve your efficiency in a way that felt natural to you, it's impossible for everyone? Is that how I should interpret your comment? Despite the fact that everyone who is elite in any sport has worked on improving their technique, whether it's throwing discus or swimming or long jump or playing football, running is the only sport where you can ignore trying to run more energy efficiently. I also wonder if you have seen the video before commenting. It seems not, as the video is a parody that makes fun of people who say they don't need to learn better running technique.

:-) :-) Learning naturally is another way to say learning without using your brain simply by doing. Some people can only learn naturally. How can you use something that you do not have? :-) :-) :-)
