  • This is a video on the Lian Li O11 Air Mini - a tiny case with a modular design and some brilliant highlights including a dual chamber layout, room for a ATX Power Supply Unit and plenty of fans. In this build guide, I'm using the standard included fans and a Noctua cooler to see just how well it works out of the box. I'm also showing the awesome features of the case and the problems along the way.

    What a detailed thorough review! One of the best ones I've seen on this case. The beefy VRM issue on Strix boards is why I opted to go with a smaller Thermalright 110mm dual radiator heat sink for my build. It still gets the job done with the only caveat of using 92mm fans.

    By the way - you aren't using the rubber gromits correctly - you should push the neck part through the hole in the brackets you are using, it's why it has the "X" to help you remove and push the rubber in. Metal on metal means you are losing the whole purpose of the anti vibration part!

      @@khelgarironfist3301 I can't compare it to other cases and region where I live is quite dusty. Lower bottom with filter is great. I disassemble front and top panels to wipe of the dust once in a while. Every 2-3 weeks. However there is almost no dust inside of case. At least no visible dust in gpu. Little bit of dust on the motherboard close to rear side, but I have no fan on the rear side, so there are big holes. Overall I can say that case is great, I didn't expected such results, cause as I said, I live in dusty region.

      @@SulaTheWise yea i've read that default panels do good job of catching most of the dust despite lack of dust filters.

    I have the same case and NH-D15 and I'm wondering before I go and try, the way you oriented D15 and 3090 that has chips at the back, does the orientation of D15 helps suck the heat of the 3090 back plate, it looks like you might gain few C on the CPU side, but it seems your helping 3090 to cool backside.
    Have you try either way and if it makes any difference?

      @@TheProvokedPrawn yes, this. I just built mine but I used the standard left-right orientation with 2 fan configuration on my NH-D15. I actually have the second fan touching the top of a few of my RAM sticks to get the glass panel closed like it should (I have just a sliver of clearance between the fan and glass). I have 2 140s at the front, 1 140 in the bottom, and two 140s on the top, along with the included 120 mm at the back.

    • @Magnosummit
      @Magnosummit 2 роки тому +1

      @@cult2 also, I forgot this... If you planned on putting 140 mm fans at the top of the case, this is hard to do with a full-size ATX motherboard. Mine has a plastic bit at the top that sticks out from the board and interferes with fan placement. 120 mm fans fit just fine though. My build, after some tweaking that you can't see in the photos from the link I sent you, now has 3 140 mm intake (2 front, 1 bottom) and three 120 mm exhaust fans (2 top, 1 at the back).
      I believe in one of the original photos, you can see how I had to rig one of the 140 mm fans at the top before switching to 120s.

    • @Magnosummit
      @Magnosummit 2 роки тому +1

      @@cult2 if you see like 5 comments later, it's because UA-cam won't allow links in posts because it probably thinks they're spam. If you want to use the 2 fan configuration on the NH-D15, you'll need to have extremely low profile ram. I have Corsair Vengeance LPX and with those, I had to place the second fan all the way down to clear the side panel. The fan housing sits on top of some of the sticks of RAM, but this hasn't caused a problem yet, and I have enough clearance to remove the side panel without making contact with any internal parts. My motherboard is MSI MPG Z690 GAMING EDGE WIFI DDR4.
