just love it, I'm a big fan of barbel fishing, "mreana" as we call it in Romania. after losing a big one I rarely use mono thinner than 0.28 mm and leader braid 0.10 even 0.14 mm when I expect 10 pounders , I use small hooks a Gamakatsu feeder special no 8 or 10 I just love them, but I also fish in powerful curent, or just at the edge of the flow so a 8 pounds one will put up a fight as they instictively go for the big curent and downstream nice vids love to see that in uk people apreciate these superb "rockets" so wild animals. what about the baits some secrets please :) for me the best hook bait are crikets and locusts, yes crikets,
