The rep star who was steamrolled by Mal Meninga

In 1987, Mal Meninga returned from a broken arm in the Canberra Raiders preliminary final win over the Roosters.
What followed was one of the most memorable finals moments in footy history.

He did play one origin for NSW in game 3 of 1989..and scored a try that night if I recall..

There was a great Rigby cartoon in the Rugby League Week that week showing man shaped hole on the try line and Arfur (as a TV interviewer) poking a microphone down the hole asking "David Trewhella, was Canberra's gamble to play Mal Meninga successful?"
