2024 Family Webinar Series: First Generation Families & Students (July 17)

Families of newly enrolled students are encouraged to learn more by watching our Family Webinar Series. This webinar is specifically for families of first-generation students at Virginia Tech. First-generation college students are those students who are the first in their families to attend a four-year institution. We'll provide an overview of the student transition experience with specific tips on how you can help your Hokie stay on track once they arrive at Virginia Tech. We'll discuss common trends we see with new students and help answer any questions you have related to the college environment and your student's next chapter.
