Hrwat tutorial Jeff. I didn't know about Lottie files until I watched your video. Ths KS for keeping us updated.
Thanks! Glad you found this useful!
This was very fortuitous timing! Just before watching this, I was watching a video explaining the new Camtasia 2023 update and then here we go with more information on Lottie files!
Speaking of which, I’d love to see a video on using Camtasia 2023. I’m getting my update later today and the new features seem great (and there are a few features that I’m already used to on Storyline, like motion paths, yay!)
Hey Laura - I do have 1 video on 2023 already but I am in the process of creating more so look out for those.
Hi Jeff, love your tutorials, so i hate to be nitpicky - but what your are doing is not really incoperating the power of lottiefiles into Storyline. you are just using the free animation and massacre them into gifs, which is arguably one of the worst containers (in terms of quality and size) to hold animation in.
That being said, I would love to see a way to integrate those sleak lottiefiles into articulate...
Boris - I don't disagree at all. I would love a better integration in Storyline. That said, I am not opposed to using them as GIFs until that feature comes along. I love how Camtasia 2023 works though, you can drop in the LottieFile JSON file and adjust on the fly. Would love the ability to do that in Storyline. Just thought it was at least worth showing what you could do for now but yeah I am with you. Storyline could integrate them better for sure.
Very helpful
Glad you think so!
Thank you! I am excited to play with Lottiefiles. Do you know if Lottiefiles will work okay inside a SCORM package on an LMS?
Because it is insert as a gif and part of the SCORM package I don't see why it would not unless your LMS strips out GIFs which would be weird if it did.
does the animation assist in learning the topic or is it a distractor?
Fair question. I would say it could enhance but yes could also distract if it is on a loop. But it is debatable. It is a good question but not one I have an answer for. I like to explore what is possible but leave it up to the developer to make their own decision.
If you're training bunch of ADD children probably a distraction but if you're training adults and it's still a distraction then do you really have any hope of teaching them to begin with? 😂
why after the project is published all the writing becomes pictures
The writing from the Lottie file or the writing in Storyline?
@@LearningDojo writing in the storyline using a text box
@@gibranmuchtazar.m.dien-6406 Storyline has always done that, not sure why honestly. I don't know if it is actually an image it converts it to but yeah you can't select it like normal text on the web.
