Oh those caves and temples were splendid! I do so respect your instinct - you were contemplating going up further in that narrow tiny cave passage, with the open ceilings where rain could come rushing through and an awful lot of people in a very narrow space and whew you turned around instead! BTW. I slid all the way down those Almost-stairs on my rear just watching you gingerly navigate your steps!

Finally, I've been able to see Marble Mountain. When I was stationed about a mile north of Marble Mountain in 1970, I had a view of it through our mess hall windows but was never able to see more than the lowest stairs as it was off limits to military personnel. I've seen photos of some of the caves, but this was fascinating seeing the way in which they are all interconnected. This was a beautiful (though much too brief) tour! Many appreciative thanks!

You missed the heaven and the 18 level of hell on the other side, but you showed us all the nooks and crannies I'd never seen before on the other side, a lot more building structures than I thought.
The nuisances are annoying but it's improved alot since 2000 because regions are competing for tourism in Vietnam so local authorities take complaints very serious. You're just too nice you're didn't report like the shoe shine incident in Saigon. Thank you for the tour.

We was there yesturday. It is so-so. Recommend visiting Thailand's Krabi) or Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in China, it is so mach better
