Intros just in general used to be a much bigger deal .It's one of the reasons I feel TV feels so declined. Think of some of some of the most memorable shows from that era. You can already hear the themes in your head, huh? Thundercats, Cheers, Family Matters, He Man, GI Joe, Golden Girls...it all just clicks. Hell, people could tell the time by a theme coming on in the background! It's a shame what we've seemingly let slip away.

This brought me to happy tears. Memories of my grandma and grandpas house after school. Hanging out with them till my parents got off work at 5. It’s not the life is miserable now, but wow, what simple, fun times with people who are no longer around anymore. It’s a feeling that can’t be replicated in my lifetime anymore. But I’m hoping I’m helping to create similar memories for my son😄

It's the staple of cartoons today, simpler animation to be able to focus on their stories and humour. But, like kids today will say and look back, we say cartoons back in our day had a real charm to them. Were they brilliantly written? No, to be fair, but toons back then knew how to channel themselves into the audience it was shown to. It had a certain class that today's pop culture blasting, cg-rendered toons today lack. Heathcliff is just one of the many fantastic toons that had this charm. Thomas, Thundercats, Berths, Postman Pat, Transformers, GI Joe and so many others.

This brings back some great memories. My parents didn't have cable till I was 12 so sometimes on the Weekend I used to go stay over at my grandparents. I miss those innocent days of playing with hot wheels cars and watching the cartoons during the day He man in the morning and this in the afternoon. Sadly my grandparents passed away my grandfather in 1999 and my Grandma in 2012 but the wonderful memories of them and how much they loved me keep them alive in my heart.

I'd love to go back to 2003-04 around when I was a 6th grader and got Jetix on cable , I'd watch heathcliff, eek the cat, what's with Andy, roboroach, tutenstein, the tick, all the marvel animated shows, diabolik, nascar racers, Walter melon, wunspunch, kids from room 402, inspector gadget and the gadget teenies, spy dogs ,bad dog, dungeons & dragons, sonic X, shaman king, life with Louie and bobby's world I'm sure there's a few more I missed but these are the ones I remember watching on fox kids/Jetix after that the channel wasn't available anymore for me and I got Disney and boomerang instead and later on cartoon network, those were the times ❤️

My first experience with heathcliff was when I got the Super Mario Bros. 3/ Heathcliff DVD in a cereal box. Loved it.

I love the comic strip and so I bought a DVD collection of "The Best of Heathcliff." I didn't know that there was a Heathcliff show, let alone having Mel Blanc star in it. This theme song is now stuck in my head (thanks Noam Kaniel) but I love it!

Is he playing some game that I don't know about, and that is never mentioned in the cartoon? Also, how can he win it with me? Am I able to help him, or is this an interactive show? I've always been confused by the end of this theme song. It started out so good but I think they just mailed it in at the end. Can anyone help explain this?
This year is almost over and it marked the 40th anniversary of Heahcliff and the Catillac Cats. Next year will mark the 40th anniversary of M.A.S.K. Time sure flies fast.

I'd love to go back to 2003-04 around when I was a 6th grader and got Jetix on cable , I'd watch heathcliff, eek the cat, what's with Andy, roboroach, tutenstein, the tick, all the marvel animated shows, diabolik, nascar racers, Walter melon, wunspunch, kids from room 402, inspector gadget and the gadget teenies, spy dogs ,bad dog, dungeons & dragons, sonic X, shaman king, life with Louie and bobby's world
I'm sure there's a few more I missed but these are the ones I remember watching on fox kids/Jetix after that the channel wasn't available anymore for me and I got Disney and boomerang instead and later on cartoon network, those were the times ❤️
