The thing is, seatbelt is a huge safety concern abroad. It is not taken that seriously in the subcontinent. But the truth is children have suffered serious injuries and even died in accidents. In the west, you get penalized for not wearing a seat belt BUT if you compromise on a child's safety in the car, it is a CRIME and you can go to jail for this. So Shaneira is absolutely right here. Risking your children for PR is the lowest you can go. And why am I not surprised at Feroze's reaction? This man is ALWAYS right and how dare anyone correct him🙄
No Hassan, parents can put their children's safety in danger, maybe not intentionally but if they do, they should have the guts to accept rather than taking it as an insult on their fragile egos

Hassan in western world kids get taken away from bad parents. It's only in Pakistan that we make ourselves believe that parents can do no wrong. They do, and need to be held accountable for their harmful actions. dont say that " feroz baap he to usay kia kahain" kyun na kahain? Some parents are so awful that kids need to be protected from them!

Parents can be wrong too. Parents can be toxic too. Parents can put their child's life, physical health or mental health in jeopardy intentionally too. It's time we realize that Parents are humans too and stop putting them on pedestals saying they'll always think good about their child.

    I completely agree with Shaneira!
Seat belts are a must and putting little kids in front seat is dangerous and absurd. But let’s be real We are talking about Pakistani Awaam who can’t and won’t follow rules!!
If they did….we won’t be where we are right now! No one obeys laws and rules are restrictive.
Sad to see that even our educated citizens are doing this and proudly posting it on social media 😢

She left took few steps and came back to buck up my son that don’t be sad for losing finals. People in Pakistan can’t even imagine how they value children here in Australia, she wants to bring that change in Pakistan but it’s so sad to see the reaction that she receive in return for correcting them.

Hassan on the seatbelt controversy - its ridiculous to say that a "parent will never knowingly put their child at risk". I agree with Aamna. It's a GROSS mistake to think that "all parents have the best interest of their child in mind". They don't. PLENTY of parent-child negligence to around the earth a few times.
In addition it's not about YOU alone when you are driving, it's about the thousand other people who are ALSO driving on the road with you who are not part of the "racing society" like FK. Both were wrong, the tone was wrong and if FK had posted this in the US and was going through a custody battle the court would use this evidence to deny custody as he endangered the child but I fully understand that its Pakistan and India this is not a big deal. The big issue is that FK did it AND not a random person on the road that has no "followers". They are INFLUENCERS. Go read the comments on his post where people were saying that there is no danger in doing what he did. THAT is the power of INFLUENCING. And he has a responsibility to not do certain things on social media.

I guess a lot of desi men have a big issue with a woman pointing out their obvious flaws in public or using 4 letter words (like sh*&) with regards to them. Desi men are absolutely fine with men around them using that kind of language but are hypocritical when it comes to a woman using them. And that hypocrisy, misogyny etc seems to multiply when our desi men are blessed with wealth and fame.
Yes, Mrs. Akram's post was worded harshly. But I can understand how a woman who is born and raised in a developed country must feel completely shocked and frustrated to see how children's rights and children's safety are blatantly disregarded even by celebrities in this country. I have lived in California for the last 20 years and when I visit India I find myself shocked by the fact that while people have the money to buy the latest models of American/German/Japanese cars their driving habits and mentality have not changed or improved with the times. In fact, their wealth is directly proportional to their arrogant conviction that they are not bound by rules.
Feroz is the best specimen of that kind of bratty men who revel in the power that comes with wealth and celebrity. It is a very Eastern male thing... because here in the US I have actually seen former tennis star Andre Agassi driving with his wife Steffi Graf on the road, with kids belted in the back seat and following all the traffic rules. It is a mark of a civilized country that people do not see themselves as being above the women of the land and above the laws of the land.

Know a family; the maternal grandfather was driving with his grandson in his lap and met an accident. When I heard, I remembered all the times I'd seen the mother sheltering her only child when he was a baby, over protective, and doting. The toll such a loss takes on a family, the way it fractures relationships irrevocably - we all believe ourselves to be invincible until we learn we aren't. That's why laws are in place: penalties and punishments to override the sense of invincibility all humans have on some level.

I am not a fan of Mahira Khan actingwise but shes a great human being and the most humble star. Amna is a fan and friend of Mahira and i dont mind her biasedness towards her as shes a fantabulous human being. But i really wonder that what happened to her judgement while befriending Feroz Khan? Acha Hassan the issue is that when you let your kid sit with you on a driving seat even in a small society where there is almost no traffic, thats not ok as you are encouraging your child and he might consider it quite adventurous and ask for it again. The kids should clearly know that its a dangerous and they are not allowed to be seated on the front seat.

During my stay here, I never once saw a road accident. We really to need implement strict laws in Pakistan too.

Hassan definitely does not wear a seat belt while driving ( from there way he defended himself🤪). He might be trying to change but he has to try harder.

Agree with amna. Thank you for trying to make Hassan understand. His example of bringing himself in the picture is not the same as feroze doing it. He has a massive following and he is being irresponsible with it.
According to you the whole world is crazy that they have laws that kids are not allowed in the front seat to the extent that the government can take your kids away for endangering their lives.
And I mean why cannot the tone be harsh? If it was someone from the lower bracket doing it then you explain how its wrong calmly. Like you said Hassan, doesn't feroze know better? And if you say he knows the danger and still not only did it but also posted it online then I believe a harsh tone is okay. And I'm just guessing for Shaneira this is something incredibly important and she gets reactive. To say "ask wasim bhai to explain" is just incredibly misogynistic and rude because it implies that she as a woman cannot get it.

They argue that that's what people like to watch. I disagree as many of us grew up on amazing scripts and there was no damsel in distress in every drama. So try making good scripts and people will watch it. Also let's not forget a big chunk of viewership for KTK came from across the border.
