Funny how many elements from the original Bloons managed to translate so well to Bloons Tower Defense and it’s successors. Except for the Pac-Man power up, I don’t really think that has a proper equivalent in any BTD game.

That ceramic popping sound is SO iconic in how chalky it sounded. Now it sounds more like a vase breaking, but you rarely hear it cause you usually one shot ceramics. XD
I never forget this game, but whenever I try to find this game, I found balloon tower defense instead. Definitely unforgettable because it is one of the first games I played on computer!
@@NightRaven5568 Bless Ninja Kiwi being one of the few companies to really make sure thier flash games were accessible, while still giving us new ones. Though with BTD6 being their Sonic the hedgehog, they're mostly focusing on that, but I think they have plans to keep expanding.
i used to go to the site for boombot custom levels. i remember making like 100 accounts because i always forgot my login. hopefully one day soon ill TAS boombot once support is better. its on my wishlist of games i wanna TAS
2:26 Fun fact: this is the only way to beat level 30. There was an "intended" way to complete it but the pop requirement is set too high for it to actually be usable, so you have to exploit a glitch instead.

There is something so charming and loveable about these old flash games They all had such simple Mechanics but it was the creatively of how those simple mechanics were used that brought us back to play it even more as kids

There was bloons super monkey 2 which released recently ish (like 2018 if i remember corrrctly) and is more a of a shoot'em up kind of game
They also had a Bejeweled-like game, think it was called Bloons: Pop 3

I'd say the successor of the bee balloon is the Beekeeper agent in BTD5, maybe the upcoming beast tamer tower in BTD6 will have a callback to it too
maybe the necromancer path for wizards in btd6? kind of a stretch, but it's the best i can think of

The SASS of that double-throw after every level~. "You always give me two more darts than I need! Guess I'll just throw them away, again."
It felt satisfying see some of the levels that gave me trouble even with unlimited darts (14,26,42) get demolished

It took my a while to get it but it's programmed to pop the exact number of ballons required to complete each level.
That was the most 2000s video I've seen today and it felt good.
