Thank you for this lovely tutorial. I decided to give it a go and was very happy with the outcome. I then had a happy accident as steam from my spray iron hit the drawing and suddenly I had soft falling rain over the scene. I had no idea that would happen and will bear it in mind should I be wanting to achieve that effect in future. Thanks again.

What paper are you using? I am using MI Teintes and the paper has a kind of grain so I cannot get the smoothness your pastels are giving.

When you complete all the back dark shades then remove the masking tape carefully and complete the details of the tree's trunk. 😊

In Art Academy professors taught us to use hair spray but I'm pretty sure professional artists use a special kind. The hair spray works tho :)
