The best way to play Spain, is to not play Spain, let them keep the ball and take it with them at the end of the game. Morocco knew that and used it to the full.
My one prediction came true that if the match goes to penalty Morocco will win. Bono is one hell of a keeper. Huge respect.
thats gonna be hard for them to play 120 minutes again . they can win yes but they will start really having some issues lot of players are already fighting pain and playing with bandages and injections . i just hope they stay strong a little bit more and not give up . i dont think they can beat france or brazil or argentina but they have the skills to beat portugal and england if they ignore the injurie pain and exhaustion

@@LauftFafa they play every game differently, they played defensively against spain cause we know that spain stickes to their possession philosophy, but it doesn't work if you block them diffensively. But morocco played many styles already, we seen them puting pressure like in canada we've seen them attacking like in belgium game. pretty flexible team. So you don't wait them in the next play to play like they played against spain u won't see that.
To be fair Lloris is absolutely incredible too, just look at the blocks he made vs England. He lso has 25% success rate in penalties i believe which is huge.
It was a pleasure watching Spain totally denied approaching anywhere near the penalty area with 1000 passes but only so little converted to shot on target. Morocco defend/counter is next level! Usually when you hear a team defending against Spain you will think that Spain is controlling the game, but last night Morocco side totally in control of the game even when they don't have the ball.
I'm huge tiki taka fan but what I've seen yesterday from Spain made sick and wanted to vomit. The Moroccan team made Spain Playstyle look stupid due to their control of the game

Morocco has a lot of injured people, portugal has mostly had easy games.. it will be very difficult to win, hope morocco will have a good game, all the team did so far was very honorable regarding the context of their tournament .. ( manager only there since september, major injuries before the wc like harit, a lot of tired and injured players so far…) good luck to them

players are on the brink of exhaustion and are resisting pains of injuries to not disappoint . big respect for them they really deserve the semi finals , they are the only team with japan to play this many number of big teams but they are still doing very well but they seems all so tired i hope this wont affect their performance in the next match .

They don't have the talent they used to have that could free up space with individual movements.. passing alone will get you NOWHERE.

It must be really frustrating for the Spanish squad to fight in all matches a team that closes themselves back like a wall.
I've been seeing some of their matches of late and all teams do the same. It's not beautiful football but it seems to work. I remember the match Italy vs Spain in the last Eurocup. Spain devasted Itally, but couldn't get to break that wall and ended up losing in the penalties.
Sad for a great team, potential winner, but now let's go with the quarterfinals!
Morocco played like this in the group stage except when against Croatia for some reason. I expect them to do the same with Portugal. Their tactics works. They defended beautifully, I mean have you watched how Amrabat wins the ball? He didn't concede a single foul. Spain on the other hand... they have an obvious problem: they don't have plan B, they only have one way to play. They are strong, but I don't think they are worthy for 'potential winner'.

It is a beautiful football and a very intelligent manager, Morocco’s midfield is weak and they don’t have the best strikers to go against a big team like Spain, also almost all the players are injured some of them even before the world cup, you can’t expect for every team to attack and play what you call beautiful football, details matters especially in a decesive match and what’s beautiful is to work and win with the potentials you have, Morocco’s manager didn’t want to risk and he played defensive and I Love it, they were an unbreakable wall and luck was on their side. We can’t deny Spain’s team is good they entertain you but they play always the same they don’t adapt. Morocco worked on their weakest point and the blocked them it’s like a battle of defenders and strikers… just beautiful!!!!!!

because Morocco's main strength is in its defense , besides Morocco don't have any top tire attackers , so it makes more sense defending and playing for counter attacks than opening the play for a well known attacking team like Spain
They are good in attacking. What they lack is a good number 9 to convert the chances into goals. En-Nasiri did it against Canada but we need someone to do it every match.
