I live and work in NC but i have a nice hideaway/house in Quinwood and told by 3 Realtors i could make a SUBSTANTIAL profit if i list it I was looking online at some homes in Fairmont. Looks like a nice town!
1:45 The Baptist Temple puts out the Veteran's Crosses every November, honoring deceased Marion County Veterans. While Memorial Day would make more sense to some, the simple fact is the grass has stopped growing in November. (The crosses are wood and just tapped into the ground, so running mowers and weed whackers around them would not work very well.) The crosses and flags are laid out to actual federal cemetery measurements. The late M. Eugene McVicker was instrumental in starting this project some twenty years ago.
Nice place to live if you already have money. Very inexpensive, and going through its first growth spurt in about 30 years. I work out of town but have always kept my home in Fairmont. I will retire there.
We were complaining about Biden half a year ago back when gas was $3.25. Now those look like the good old days. If I see someone with a Biden sticker at the gas station I'm asking them to pay half for causing this.
