    Mr Bald learned from his Belorussian wife, but living with her induced stress and possible bankruptcy. His current interest, Alinchuk, is appearing less, and I wonder why she didn’t join him on his adventure to Estonia’s Russian speaking regions. It appears learning Russian without too much emphasis on grammar has been of benefit to his positive outlook and success, but I worry about his health. Maintaining relationships with Russian family can be particularly stressful and Mr Bald should be focusing more on wellness like Mr Harald.

    I have been learning Russian for over 40 years since a retired naval officer suggested an evening class at Fettes when we were 18 , and Uni made a desperate call for German applicants to switch to The Russian Department . It has been extremely difficult ! and my max vocab is 3000 words ; it used to give a dating advantage in the Nineties .... not so much now . To read Tolstoy , you need more than 6 000 words ..... and most people want to practice their English on you anyway . SO BEWARE . It did help me a bit hitch hiking through Siberia / The South and Ukraine , but not fantastically . People in Kiev want to speak English

    I have been studying Russian for 16 months now , last time I tested my self my vocabulary was 520 words , it is probably close to 550 now . Russian is not very difficult if you do two things 1. forget about grammar 2. skip all the words that are pronounced different than how they are spelled and/or you cannot think of a memory aid to help you remember it ( you cannot always do this , some words you just have to bite the bullet and learn by repetition) . I'm doing this for business , I have pretty much lost interest in Russian speaking woman , too negative for me.

I used to live in a city in Chile that had three distinct Spanishes and a person from Guatemala or Columbia would not understand any of them. with Russian it is much more consistent.

    I don't know exactly how the Education First puts together its ranking of English proficency but it is very wrong! for example they have Hong Kong in catagory 3 as moderate but it was an english colony for 99 years ! Also they have Cuba in Cat 3 as moderate. But outside of the tourist hustlers in Havana no one speaks english ! They also have Thailand in cat 5 which is v wrong. And Philipeans as a 3 which is also wrong.

    Learning Ukrainian here. Not precisely because of women as my first reason, yet I won't deny that women over there are quite attractive and have many traits that you as a guy would desire at first glance. See... I picked Ukrainian language specifically because of the history of the country and everything it had to go through the dark soviet times along with its folklore and this struggle that Ukrainian has dealt with in order to survive (in this ever-present clash against Russian language) and not to mention its linguistic aesthetics (Cyrillic Alphabet). Just one question: Only by speaking ukrainian do I have many chances to move through eastern Ukrainian cities where hands down Russian is the prime language?
    P.D: I'm open to learning Russian in the future as soon as I'm in good stead with Ukrainian. Why Not? :) Greetings from Chile, Mr!

    Not agree. In you want to stay in Ukraine, you should learn Ukrainian. This is the language of the future. All education, media and official state language is Ukrainian. In 10-20 years Russian language here will be the language of old soviet people and the thing of the soviet past. Nothing really to be proud of. Also Russian culture is not Ukrainian culture and you do not need it here. Russian will be the language of the past and Ukrainian is the language of the future here.. Do not confuse yourself with Russian if you want seriously to deal with Ukraine.

  • @rasmia09

    The issue is that learning Russian won't make you successfull with Russian speaking women... actually sometimes it looks conspicous and that you are "trying hard", what sarcastically it's completely a turn off for women.
    It's funny, but many Eastern girls what they want is exotic men, so but not speaking Russian you actually look more exotic. They like hearing you speaking in your mother tongue. Russian will help you of course travelling, meeting women's relatives, making friends... but it's not a life changer for meeting Eastern women. If they are somewhat interested in foreing men, they will speak at least a little bit of English.

    • @ConorClyneNewEurope

      Rasmia has a point, but it is not an "only Russian" phenomen! Example: When I am in Germany, I rather speak fluent English than German with foreign accent. I always get first class service, attention and get threated as high class whenever I speak English... 90% Germans look "up" to English speakers! Especially when combined with knowing "how to behave", aristocratic, noble manners! There is a huge difference when showing "high class"....and the same English combined with 5 dollar McDonalds lifestyle....If you are the low class guy, primitive, with little value to provide, Russian women won't be interested in you even if you speak fluent Russian!

    • @ConorClyneNewEurope
      @ConorClyneNewEurope  3 роки тому +1

      @@alexastan9376 you are talking about Germany not Eastern Europe ... it’s true that speaking German in Munich did not help me as much as speaking Russian has here but at the top end of society speaking German well still helped considerably even there. Plus there are a lot of beautiful women in Munich who speak Russian. 😉

I'm sick of Asian women monopolizing the market it is time for challenge their monopoly and no group of women is better candidate than Russian(by extension Ukrainian and Belarusian) women who possess better more exotic beauty(blue eyes and Blonde hair) alternative to Asian women.

    You rock man, as always. I'll be back soon, no more Odessa mama but Lvov. Russian language will come as it happened for Serbian in the past. I've seen there is something in common between Serbian and Ukrainian, interesting. By the way Russian is better considering we can go also to The Saint Mother and to Belarus. I know people in Ukraine and for me it's easy to relocate, but it will remain always this idea of Minsk because, well, often when something is easier it's not the best choice. It looks like in Ukraine there are too many UE enthusiasts. You are the best one treating this issue because you are not politically correct so let's say 180 cm or taller superbeauties in all the 3 countries, but the cultural level in Russia and Belarus is higher. A west man escapes from the west not only to have relations with Irina Shayk doubles and in Ukraine more than 70% voted for the comedian, we find again the absurd time change, gretatumberg Boys, probably it will be necessary to separate plastic and paper in the garbage, gay pride... now they have annoyed the population with the kingdom of Covid while in Belarus nothing was done and OBVIOUSLY in Minsk there are not piles of bodies near the streets. Politically after Yanukovic Ukraine is a mess.
