That was outstanding Dave and Emily!!! After learning "on and on" this is another great Stephen Bishop song. We need to get back to the days when people actually wrote great songs!
Thank you guys so much! ..... I was a kid when this sing came out. I always loved it. I finally learned the song thanks to you. It is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard and the notes feel so good and comforting. I also like the version Roberts flack did. It was played in the end of the Waiting to Exhale movie where Angela Bassett, Whitney Houston, LelaRichon and Loretta Divine are riding in the car and Savannah ( Whitney ( is groving to the music and they all join in. That's what inspired me to leatn the song. And I love the original by Steven Bishop....
Always loved this song. Some interesting chords. Got half of it learned so far. Dave, you have a real gift for figuring out songs. Thanks for walking us (not so gifted) through it.
Dude!!!!!! You are killing me today with the Stephen Bishop stuff. Love it !!! I can't get any "honey - do' s " today. My wife is gonna kill me. I'm stuck practicing this song. Great job. I'm hooked to the channel.
Dave I love these Lessons with Emily she has such a beautiful voice love the way you break down all the chords for the lessons you teach Dave thank you so much for these Jems.
Thank you Dave, for the lesson, this brought back soo much memories! I was 12 when this song was released and now I could finally play it, the right way! Emily is amazing as always!
Haven't heard that since I was a kid ! Great job by You and Emily as always. Lessons to advanced for myself but sure gives ya incentive to be able to play beautiful chord pairings that you use commonly that sound so good ! Very good !
Great video, thx so much. I am learning this song and youtube has recommended your video. ps: after all these years, I wish my wife would still look at me the same way, Emily looks at Dave in this video. Thats so cute.
Thanks, both of you, watched this several times. I've been learning this song for ages, thought I was pretty close, but now I know a couple of new chords and the finger slide in the intro, though still trying to get the intro fingering right. It's a great song. Thanks again. Steve (UK).
Hello This is Antonio Neto Have some songs that we see only here in your chanel. Escuse my inglish. I'm from Brasil. Tem algumas musicas que só se ver aqui no seu canal. Parabens pelo bom gosto musical.
I could not agree with Ricky Compton more in this case. Hearing the final result with Emily's beautiful vocal and your consummate voicings on the guitar really help to drive the lesson forward. I can't play this YET... some of the techniques are not in my skill set but they will be and when they are I will have this lesson to look back on. So much of what I try on the guitar has to do with my ear
great video dave great voice emily you know dave joe walsh whould of played that song but with single double double single double tap coil vintage pickups haaaaaaaaaa lol lol
This is the most faithful, accurate version I've seen here on UA-cam. Thank you! You guys put a smile on my face (and ears)! ❤👍👍

I also like a 5-string barre on the 5th fret , maybe towards the end, where the D11 would be?
also a D11

Great job, gang! I had a book of chords as a child that had fewer chords in it than this song!
Excellent!!!
Does Dave have a patreon or something we can make song suggestions with? I love his renditions and learning songs from him is teaching me a lot.
I have a tip jar on my main page. What song were you looking for?
@@DavesGuitarChannel Didn't expect a reply so quickly lol. "That's the Way I Feel About Cha" by Bobby Womack. One of my favorite songs
Not sure that I know it. I will look it up.
Ella se rie de lo mal que canta él, algunos músicos no pueden cantar.
Excelente!
