Wow, this is incredible! I can’t believe we’re just hearing about these now. HSKE and Schunk, that’s a fantastic idea. With AI programming software advancing, machines for non-machine shops are going to become more and more popular. We are looking forward to learning more!
No price on the website is a big turn off. Might be a cool machine, but I would like the respect of a stated price. No, I don't want to talk to a sales person. Spec sheets will allow me to determine if I want to spend the money.
@@PentaMachineCo If the RFQ collects no data, what is the point of it? Why artificially increase friction? Even a "Starting at" price would make things clearer for those interested.
Machine is awesome. Love it, love the ethos, love the included probe, ATC, tool holding, servos and all. I can see all the care and thought put into the usability - it’s awesome Great stuff!! One tiny suggestion; if you renamed the RFQ page to "Product Configurator" or something of the likes you could avoid the dread people face every time they see RFQ.
DAMN!! 80K+ is wild. Maybe if it was a 45k-60K base price, I'd be seriously looking into it for my shop but the new Syil U5s are starting out at 96K and the features on that out way the ones on the solo. That's a much more appealing deal in my opinion.
I've been following the development for a while. Was hoping it was a little bit cheaper at the 60k mark I heard a while back. For the portions of the software that's using machinekit and linuxcnc are you guys open-sourcing it per gpl v2. It looks like a very cool machine. Also are there plans for selling the pico probe individually.
i really like the machine, and think its awesome, and i have some BIG respect for the risk involved.... But i do think its a bad time to build a macjine like this.... its compareable to the datron neo.... But its small and really expensive and roughly 80k, and i PERSONALLY (wich means i dont care about your coice) would rather get a syil u5 if you compare price to Performance. but i do get that there is a gap for this machine
@@PentaMachineCofor being 80k you could definitely buy a brand new haas and add a 5th axis table and still have enough table space for second ops if needed.
Who installs a cnc machine inside the office? Dont really get the point. No one can get work done with that thing machining any of the materials you listed. Other than that, great work.
People who do R&D for a national lab need to be able to pop up an impromptu job shop quickly. Machinists with material and talent on hand that don't have time for supply chain nonsense.
@@eXpeDiEnt89 no one in any office will ever accept the extreme noise and also the smell cnc machines produce. Why do you think the cad designers have they’re own office?
Love the lifting of heavy metal objects with a mini crane in flip flops!

with such a price it's definitely a totally different league
What price? didn't see anything on the web

super intense. thanks for sharing y'all's new machine! been wondering what would be cooked up next.
meanwhile, I'm still saving up for pocket v2 lol
Love it, but the moment there is a coolant leak in the office or someone spills the swarf bin, it'll get relocated to the warehouse.

If you go to the website and the Solo quote request form the prices are there - you don't have to put any of your info in.
its about 80k i think, at least that was what was said on insta

Oof, $80,000 is a painful base price for an "entry level" 5 axis machine
@@qwertbochaffer It is small, but is it "entry level"? Not the same thing at all.

Thanks for the feedback. We had thought that too - something like "machine builder".
And then people will be saying they can't find the quote request. 😅 Such is life.
Absolutely inspiring your new machine looks incredible, wonderful people doing amazing things here in Montana! Love it!

So cool ... This would suit a low volume niche maker. If I had the money, I'd buy one in a heart beat.
This is so awesome. Great work!
How easy would it be to recalibrate the machine in case that it needed it or the user changed a important part for some reason ?
I have a Pocket NC. This looks like the grown up version of that machine.
This will be great in my makerspace in guam.
$80000++ wow..
Looking good!
This looks like an interesting machine, but with an $80,000 base price im not sure what the target market here is?!
Looks great
All of the demo videos show this with long tooling. How close can the spindle nose get to the center or rotation?
The spindle nose can get to about 1.75" from the center of rotation.

Awesome
Is there any 5 axis software that doesn't cost 1,500. per year?
Fusion is as good as & as cheap as it gets. And, when you're programming a 80k - 200k machine, It's too late to go cheap on the software. : )

thanks - our machine is made in the US so it's challenging to compete on price with the SYIL U5 - but I'm confident we compete on quality
You aren't fitting a Syil U5 through a doorway or into a standard sized elevator.

Great moment to install a bigger door.
Also helps with moving in stock on carts and moving out products.
$80K for an aluminum machine? No thank you. If it had a steel base structure, I'd consider it.
Those tool stick outs ain't going to have a decent finish
$80,000!!! Just buy a Haas!

Lost me at web based software, shame!
While it is web-based, it's not cloud based. Not sure if that's what the issue is, but it can be used entirely offline.
