An upgraded chassis like the m2c 7075 chassis is essential for extreme bashing BUT you still need a 'give' point or this can happen as can be seen in the video. In my opinion if the car had a stock bullhead, then that would have failed and saved the rest of the car, and bulkheads are cheap. Making everything solid will mean you just destroy more expensive parts. This crash destroyed the chassis, alloy bulkhead and other parts. You can see the live rebuild here on my 2nd channel- • Total carnage - this i...
Alloy parts are good when strategically placed, but just making the whole rig aluminum will not make it stronger, you are taking away flex and adding wight. Alloy arms for example are a 100% no for me!
I do all the expensive testing so you don't need to! Sub and smash the bell so you don't miss future durability tests!

This is my fun channel, you'll find everything hobby related, rc cars, monster trucks, supercars, destruction and a bit of business stuff :) Although a lot of my videos are RC Car videos you will also see other stuff like business, Amazon FBA, eBay, Monster truck, Cars, insurance and many other topics.

I feel like Kev is the type of person who, despite having the resources to build incredibly fast and powerful cars, holds back some at races. Like, he could probably blow the other rigs out of the water but hes a good sport so the kids and other racers can still have fun. Thats class that money can't buy. ❤
He wouldn't be doing that if he wasn't gifted most of his stuff by sponsors
You should install a spring loaded parachute and actuate it once up high in the air.
That is an epic idea
@@floridabudgetbuilds4157 I suggested this to Kev once on a live stream ! I agree it would be cool. And maybe allow some STUPID jumps off buildings and cliffs ;)
Agree
Kev definitely needs to do that lmao
please do this and have a camera on it
Kev I have to say you are one of the best and realest Bashers on the Tubes, on top of that you're a stand up guy, a good sport that shows absolute dedication to the hobby. It's pretty admirable the way you treat the youngsters as equals making them feel they are capable and they have a place in the world of Bashing R/C's priming them for a future of full sends and tumble wumbles. Keep it up Kev, Thank You Sir!!
And a future of debt for parts :)
@@ohwell2790 I doubt it, the guy had a lamborghini and a monster truck . These rc parts cost like a penny for him😂
I love how you put so much time and money into these cars and even when they break you're having the time of your life. Keep it up!
Thats probably one of my fav attributes that keeps me coming back to watch Kevs videos. His pure love of the hobby and being a all out people person. Spends the money on a extreme build and hop ups, and then lets anyone try it, knowing well its gonna be catastrophic at the end. Awesome man!!
Yeah he has more dedication than some people I know with their kids
Yea
@@GigaDarth Yeah like me
Cool vid Kev, and you do make a valid point with the damage. It's really a decision in the end of which parts you want to break.
Can we all just take a moment to admire these RC cars and the stresses they go through before they actually break?
I don't think enough people appreciate that fact.
I would think it's valuable information for the guys that make the after market replacement pieces. Kevin shows them where the weak spots are.
Indeed, I am constantly amazed at how much abuse these little cars can take and keep on going!
It's true even on novice mudboss it's like a demo derby and the cars keep going lol
I totally agree, try to put it in a real life prospective. I mean a 1/10 scale truck doing 70 mph is much like a full size doing 350 mph so just imagine what a full size truck would look like after going 350mph and jumping off a cliff reaching 300 to 500 feet in the air and landing on its rear end??? I mean really take a min to think about that!!! There would be nothing left of it I mean really it would disintegrate on impact but not these trucks nope they take that licking and keep taking so imagine how strong they would need to be in real life it's actually un imagine able if only we could invent a real life truck that could take that beating, go that speed, jump that high and be that strong omg it would be the superman of trucks. Build it and they will come (nae they will buy and omg they would pay 🤑💰💵💸🪙👑💎🤑
@@timwegman5776 i know what you mean, but physics change with size, a full size truck probably physically cannot stand that. I remember seeing a Kurzgesagt video about that, not related to RC but still packed with information!
Kev is the best RC enthusiast in the world. Spends so much time and money building these rigs and then let's other people destroy them. Brilliant 👏
Hey kev I was just wondering if you could give an update on the crawler with the 4 cylinder engine, unless you are too busy with other projects, would appreciate it mate, keep up the fantastic and entertaining videos😁
Lol I forgot about that thing
yeah I'd like to see that too. That's a nice bit of kit that one. Was it a 4 banger though? I knew it was four STROKE but thought it was a single cylinder.....
Benjamin bumgrapes stole it and totaled it
@@muskokamike127 4 stroke.
Very tedious project, im inferring he gave up on that
Kevin should definitely build a completely custom RC car from scratch! Fantastic video as always!
I could see him getting a water jet and going nuts with it.
Dude, as much hell as you put this thing through. It would last a normal person's bashing for a lifetime! It took a lot of abuse before it finally broke. Impressive!! 🍻
Another great video.
I find myself on you tube surfing around and I have to say this is my favorite channel on UA-cam. Always great content very well edited never to much of one thang or not enough of another. Also have great information honestly givin reviews an it's very inspirational. Got me back not only into rc hobby but my shop back open an more active in hands on hobbys all together.
So thank you Kevin.
I love how you just let the little kids run your cars. The smiles are awsome
Seeing Kevin "BOOM!" multiple pieces onto the truggy back to back is incredibly satisfying.
Hey Kev, these transitions when you're putting the car together are really good. Keep them up.
Thank Kev's brother, he's the editor now.
When you crash directly on the end of the chassis like that from that high up it doesn’t matter what your using it’s going to break.great video Kev great entertainment 👊🏻💪🏻😎👍🏻
That's because all RC chassis are essentially 2D, like sheets of paper... push on the end hard enough and it will fold. They could be designed to be MUCH stronger using a single piece of machined high-grade aluminum in a 3D cage-like shape.
I love your channel because of you I got into the hobby and now own a arrma vorteks love seeing you bash your RC so hardcore to show us the viewers how well they made or not
Hey kev, love the videos keep up the good work..I just want to say, my 2yr old son is totally obsessed with watching your videos, more than any other video on earth haha, true story..building or bashing at the scate park,he's into it, when he hears the classic intro "GUYS!" he comes running and parks up infront of the TV laughing 😆 ill get him his own basher when he's old enough.. your awesome kev thankyou.
This is a great review. It looks like a lot of fun to go on a scenic ride. They are practical. There is an American r/c UA-camr who uses an E bike to carry his crawlers to a local site and he has baskets on the front and back. It was neat to find out you rebuilt bikes. Bicycles are one of the few things that all the generations have an interest in.
I love how Kev always includes the other peoples children. As a parent myself, that's really a special quality in a human being.
You need to hang around with nicer people
I tried that “boom!” thing on my broken Notorious, but it didn’t work! It’s still broken🤣
always enjoy watching Kev show his welding skill, not sure exactly how long he did it but the skill shows
The Talion is a awesome all around RC IMO It comes with tires for speed but you can throw on a set of back flips etc for some awesome bashing. 🔥
Awesome vid Kev 🔥
love your videos! keep me entertained for hours.
if your ever throwing parts, I'm happy to take them off your hands, I need to get back into the hobby!
Great bash Kevin ! you guys are really having a fun time out there. I don't think anything could survive that lawn dart! I do agree about the aluminum bulkheads. that's one of the reasons we do not make them. I will send you the updated suspension blocks that will accept the Mojave bumpers
Looking forward to the Sledge parts! Patiently waiting...
Thank you Kev for putting a smile on my face your last couple of bashing videos have been the best ones yet thank you for another great video and bashing session
I love your videos. The way you let everyone just bash your rc. Alot of people wouldn't do that. Awesome Work
Where is the xo1 to the moon?
I love all your videos you give good advice at the same time showing people how to how easy it is to do this stuff and showing how hard it is sometimes I really appreciate that about this video
Hey KT I was wondering if you could do a video for people trying to do RC on UA-cam. You're pretty well established in a short time, I'm sure you could give some tips without giving away the secret sauce. Love your channel brother. Keep it up!
Wow. Your really talented with welding. Ben watching you for a while! Keep up the good work!
Ive waited for this video for soooooooooo long! Thank you for the great content!
Man I love your upgrade video's they are so satisfying to watch. 👍
I lost it soooooo hard when the little kid busted out the zip ties ready to work 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
there is loads of room behind that motor. you should put a massive one in.
How entertaining you make these videos is what it's all about Kev . I'm not normally into watching this kinda stuff , i half expect you to go off in a bang sometimes, it's like your wired to explode🤣🤣.
Anyway great stuff mate , always a good watch 👏
Hey Kev! I learned my lesson with aluminum with my first Slash 2wd, I went crazy on Integy aluminum parts. I replaced The chassis and all the parts I could with aluminum😂 Everything bent and snapped🤣
I did the same shit and made it a total piece of garbage that breaks everytime I drive it
Especially integy 😂😂that’s the worst
I want to say, im very pleased to see kevin also struggling with damaged screws and im reall impressed how he find ways to get them out again. I really ned a (Schweißgerät) sorry dont know the Name in english 😉.
But all of the installed strongness, there is always a way to break stuff you can see. You only need to give the controller to the *correct* person 😅
And i like it very much you give informations how to install things and where to buy upgrades.
You are a very good youtuber and RC Master. Keep go on Kev!
Grüsse from Germany (munich)
love your enthusiasm kev, keep doing what you do mate!
Hey Kevin! New subscriber 😅 but I've watched a few of your videos, and I gotta say, I've never wanted an RC car now more than ever in my life😂 I had a few when I was younger, but they were never of the best quality. Motors wore out, gears grinded away, or wheels would fall off😂. You've probably been doing this for a while, but I just wanted to say, I enjoy every second of your content. I even showed some of my friends your vids, and they said they'd be subscribing 👌 can't wait to see what kind of new vids come out next🤘
The quality and editing off your videos is just insane 🔥👌🏻
Kev you are so right certain mods put stress on other parts. I put a hot racing wing mount on my talion and the more u land on the mount puts a lot more stress on the diff case. Great vid 👍
I'm so impressed with the track and all the people great job crew!
Love it Kev awesome stuff man, I'd only imagine if it was stock it wouldn't even survive that long. 👍👍
Hey kev love the video, I’m thinking maybe the alloy bulkheads are still a good idea but maybe run stock plastic chassis braces!? I feel that m2c chassis is enough support to run a stock brace just for that little bit of flex, would a plastic brace perhaps had enough flex to save your bulkhead or chassis in the situation!?
Brilliant as always Kev, you're a good sport. Thanks for sharing. John
Hiya Kev, I've just ordered my talion really looking forward to getting it. Quick idea as most of us don't have welders could you do a video with all available devices and gadgets to remove stripped screws. Thanks. Love the videos
What a guy letting everyone else destroy your rc. Its all about the smile for you!!!❤
So happy when kev uploads
Really interesting.. I was looking at getting the Bulkheads and leaving the arms as the weak point but never really considered such a hard rear landing like that... do have big cushy bumpers on it but that was a rough one
Dont hesitate to get them based off this. Doesn't matter what RC it is or the mods it has, nothing would be able to withstand a landing like that....nothing.
Yo!!!! Great to see you give the kiddos a chance 😀 😊 👍 love to see the new Gen doing something besides screen time! Good stuff 👏 Cheers from California!!
It's fantastic you let everybody be a part of your hoddy it's not cheap so letting the kids and other people have a go is a massive thing much respect
Let their parents put all the time and money into something that expensive. Kids need to understand these are not toys and are very expensive if they get damaged. That was too much car for that kid and I was glad that the car wasn't hurt anymore than it was. Kevin is too generous--we could have more content with the car but instead it all gets cut short from nosediving the car into the ground from 40 ft.
@@LordPrometheous but that’s what Kev was going to do anyway
@@LordPrometheous they are literally toy cars.
@@jamesfairbank4646 it's more cool when Kev does it.
@@sefferrr that's literally debatable.
Hey Kev. So awesome how you let the little ones have some fun. Keep it up Buddy 👍
That welding idea was really good to get the screw out
With many engines and cylinder heads being aluminum now using steel bolts, it's used a LOT by mechs to get broken manifold bolts out. One cool trick is to hold a steel nut over the bolt and fill the inside of the nut up with mig wire.
just starting in the hobby, love your videos!!😁 keep it up👍
Your reaction to the damage was so good
Top quality vids. Luv it
Rebuilt my jato this last weekeend, and was tuning...ran 50 mph in a short run (verified by my Dragy 2.0) but before I could stop i just hit a small turn, pulled a slight wheelie.....BASHED into a 4x4 mailbox post. Needless to say the entire front came off and the dragy landed 50+ feet away. Time for more parts!! Your investing in these cars makes me want to as well.... LOL I am positive I broke most everything
Never fail to bring a smile to my face watching your vids no matter how much of a shitty day I've had, thanks mate, much appreciated
Those kids are already young Talbots lol they were so happy to fix the talion for a second just to bash and break it again. Cool!!
14:16 Claire's slow mo "Ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
great transitions. glad you're still enjoying what you do
complete dedication with fun. nice dude
You know Martyn was thinking; "Could've been worse..."
You make some of the most fun and entertaining videos, Thank you!
love waking up to a new vid kev
Hi kev been watching for a while now, just retired from engineering, another way i found for removing snapped studs, similar to what you did, i use too weld a nut on the inside to the stud this also works...just a thought.
Take care.
Awesome man, love how you are with the kids that's awesome.
That was a cool video and I like how you got everyone involved!
There's a reason the X-Maxx works so well: there is just so much give in the entire platform. I had a Kraton 6S modded to the gills from each time it broke, and it just continued to break all the time because there was always a new weak spot.
i really enjoy your videos i could watch you tinker and do commentary all day long!!
Great video Kevin. I love the build videos.
I literally haven’t played with rc cars since I was 12 but damn your videos are great to watch at 1am
Damn that thing shifts and gets some maf air Kev 👍 . All the upgrades are sweet but as you mentioned in description it made it probably "too" stiff
Great and fun Video :D all of your videos Lights up my Day :D
You got it, Kevin! Stronger Servo, 7075 Bulkheads with measured gears(sloppily processed diffs are an espacialy "Arrma weak point") other thicker diff oil... That's it...
Great video Kev! love it.... Bashing at it's finest!
Stemp “you gotta try and hit it” 😂😂😂 gold
Kevin manages making durability testing fun and entertaining
Oooooo sweet welding trick my man. Always got the goods for us Kev👍
Hey Kevin it's Alex kowaliuk here great video and just have to say I like that airplane at the end I don't know why I just think that plane is cool
Awesome to see u giving the kids a try u could tell it made there day
Idk why I love watching all his videos when I’m not even in rc cars 😂 just great content
This guy obviously loves the hobby, and even more obviously loves engaging with all his fellow hobbyists, and his interactions with 'the gang' and especially the kids is a real testament of his character... But, being someone who lost a lot over the last few years, including my business, due to Covid, I gotta confess it does sometimes break my heart just a bit to watch the endless stream of great vehicles modded with hundreds of dollars of hi-end parts being arbitrarily destroyed like that..!
This is a great vid man, thanks for all that you do.
That was freaking awesome. A that's real cool to let the kids get a world too. How they probably think they're hanging with the movie star. Keep it up brother luvit and thnx
That was great letting the kids drive kevin. I let my 8 year old drive my MAXX. He sent it off 20ft with a perfect front flip and proceeded to mock my brother and out jump the REVO on every jump.
Always awesome videos, so much fun.
Never thought using the tig rod would get screws out cause its so soft. Always welded another bolt to the stuck one. Have to give that a try👍
I wonder if a chassis made of spring steel would be good. It would be heavy but it could have some bend in order to take hard landings but not stay bent.
Bending an M2C chassis , now that's pure talent
Whoa tottally awsome!! So much awsomeness in one Video i love it
Hey Kev. Just got the max6+1650kv for my Kraton 6s. Can't wait to take her out :)
Have that combo in my Kraton and it is absolutely perfect for it!
That was a front flip of destruction today.
I still believe the Talion EXB and the Outcast are Arrma’s best all around RC’s 👍
hahaha and you broke the aluminum one also! You sir are the nemesis of all RC Vehicles
Kevin you are awesome I love the content you make me wanna get one of those trucks
Love the talion videos kev keep ‘em comin
I love your video's,- you give me the passion to go-out and do some bashing
I was like a proud parent watching you finally put some aluminum to your rides, the M2C kit and the HR bulkheads….snif snif……tears
I did so much work to my fire team but dang I wish I got all the same stuff you did looks amazing I would love to get a truck to fineally look like this
lmao -Kid with the hand full of cable ties is just GOLD
Awesome ridiculous videos! I am envious of your hobby shack and all the vehicles within! I'd think i'd be as excited as you are should I ever had the chance to steal time away and have a loaded room of fun such as yours! I am working towards it, I promise. I have a control question. I see you class of sportsmen who jump their trucks and cars, have some control trick, some tool where seemingly when the vehicle has cleared the jump and just short of the apex yet in flight, some manipulation of the controller is done that the vehicle levels out to come down, best as ya can, like a cat on all fours. How the hell is that done?
