man, AM4 is such a unique platform, so many cpus, so many upgrade options. this platform will forever live on and be the legend and anyone who says it's "dead", boy how wrong you are.
People these days call everything "Dead." Game comes out and they binge it for a month, stop playing and then call it "dead." Game still has thousands of players, "Dead."

Ryzen 5 7600 is the cheapest AM5 CPU retailed at $229, I did however buy the x version of that CPU for $14 USD more.
My CPU did not come with a stock cooler which probably explains why the price jump isn't that significant.
I feel like a comparison table would have helped immensely. So many similar names and specs...

@@RandomGaminginHDhey I have 5600g but it runs apex at 20fps why ? Could it be ram ?
@@Potential2006Could be. Could also be cooling, BIOS settings, or power delivery. If you have a dGPU, it could even be caused by overclocking the VRAM too high which causes errors, and error correction then causes stuttering/low frame rate.

Yay I asked for this video the other day 😂ask and you shall receive
Yeah it must have been your comment I saw. I hadn’t heard of this before to be honest 😁
Holy hell, i just came from the i3/12 gen celeron, opened your channel and bam, 38 seconds ago video.
I actually picked up a 5500GT a couple weeks ago for my DeskMini X300, I had previously been using a 4350G so it was quite an uplift in performance. I don't do any kind of gaming though this is a HTPC/Plex Server. The 4350G did struggle at transcoding and I also do some audio/video conversion and the 5500GT performs quite a bit better.
I bought a 5600G when it came out to run in a Truenas box, but only used the IGP to get it up and running. It was nice to be able to do basic setup without a discrete GPU. Then I’m running it headless, but I can always go back and plug it into a monitor to access the Bios or do diagnostics. I think it is good that AMD started putting a basic IGP in all of their 7000 series CPU’s like Intel for just that reason. These G/GT CPU’s are perfect for just a basic computer.
Glad to see more cheap options and upgrades coming along for AM4. I'm sure some people still rocking 1st gen AM4 processors will appreciate these chips

These APUs are probably targeted at office PC builders too - the built-in graphics helps to lower overall build costs. Really great for small businesses who don't necessarily want to deal with Dell, Lenovo, etc..
I expect the GT versions will eventually replace the "G" versions,so many AM4 options at the budget end.Not forgetting the 4300g,4600g and the non-APU 4100,4500,5500 and 3600.Wild.

Can you do a review on Ryzen 5 5400, I will be purchasing one paired with Rx 6600 to play Rainbow six siege and Fornite. Will that be enough?
What was you going to say at 8:29??
perhaps something like the "RDNA3 based APUs like 8600G and 8700G bring"?
I was tempted to buy an AM5 upgrade over a year ago in California, glad I didn't, too new and too much about CPUs melting in AM5 sockets, if I had that happen I would have been pissed.
Should be heading back to California again this year, if there's a good enough deal I may be tempted once again, but the 5600G with 32GB 3600 memory on a second hand B550M board is fantastic.
I use AM5, it's not melt as what people point out to be. You can use AMD eco or if you use Asus, you can use enchancement in BIOS won't Lost any performance.
I upgrade from AM3 to AM5
I built my PC with a 5600G. Light gaming for sure. Set the resolution a bit lower and games are playable. I upgraded a year or two later with a rx 6600
I've been waiting for this one to compare with regular 5500...
And you didn't compare it...:D I think that 5500gt should be faster than 5500 just cpu wise w discrete gpu! This data is valuable for someone w a320 and r5 1600af looking for upgrade!
@@Djare915 The 5500GT has a 4.4Ghz boost clock compared to the regular 5500's 4.2Ghz, same base clock. So it would be a smidge faster in certain cases but probably not enough to be worth the premium on it's own.
5500gt is not worth it over 5500, better go for 5600 directly since it has higher l3 cache and pcie 4 support, than spending more for 5500gt and offering negligible performance difference.
I would like to know from users who have a Ryzen APU or a Ryzen APU with a dedicated GPU.
Can these Ryzen APUs be used as a seperarte encoder for streaming or recording with programs such as OBS?
I used to do this already with Intel CPUs with iGPUs. Mainly Intel UHD graphics. Before I gave my brother my Intel CPU cause his died. And I went for a AM4 Ryzen build rather a Xeon build which I've used before.
Just wondering if Ryzen APUs can be used in tandem with dedicated GPUs in seperate tasks like recording, streaming, or using my motherboard's video ports to play a low res video while gaming. Just wondering is all.
Hmm, I can see where this would fall into the market slots available. I'd rather have integrated graphics as an option in case the graphics card ever failed in my PC, that way I'd still have a way to use the PC (even if not for gaming) without having to try and find a new one at really short notice (and being stung in price for the privilege).
Though to be honest, my PC doesn't need integrated graphics, it's got a 5950X and 3060Ti... :)
Yay, someone is finally looking into the GTs so I don't have to just blindly buy one :)
Seems they are ever slightly superior but not upgrade worthy. Only if your buying new or coming from a much lower cpu.
@@arnezbridges93 They are not superior. The 5500GT is slower than the 5600G (though the difference is negligible).
in the witcher 3 , please do the lab ruins mission you will thank me
I can confirm that that the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X was a very worthwhile investment and upgrade from the Ryzen 5 1600X I had, on a budget. I am extremely happy with mine and I am on a B450M motherboard, making me currently limited to PCI-E 3.0, but that is fine as my RTX 2080 Super is PCI-E 3.0 anyway. Also, it seems I have hit the Silicon lottery, as my 5600X can overclock on an individual core basis to between 5.8-5.9GHz, using no more than 1.3 volts. Also running 16GB of G.Skill DDR4 RAM running its full 3600MHz CL17 with this processor now, vs when I had to run it at 3200MHz CL17 with the Ryzen 5 1600X, which itself was all core overclocked to 4.0GHz at 1.368 volts on the dot.
Pcie has backwards compatibility, there is test confirming 1% difference using pcie 4 card on pcie 3
Are you running your computer on LN2 or something or do you mean 4.8 ghz?
How many more skus do you think AMD will release on this socket? This is getting kinda silly at this point
I cried that I should have known about this APU sooner... This is at the exact price I can afford.
Would you recommended this or the 8800 GT?
I've got a 5600X, might buy a 5700X3D in the coming year
I have a solid AM4 build with some rare parts acquired at once in a lifetime prices, I take great pride in it. The release of the 5600X3D was not only the appropriately rare and exclusive fit for my meticulously crafted build it's next gen killer performance keeps it relevant for years. If this is a dead platform I hope AMD keeps on killing them.
$90 1600AF?
Meanwhile my 5600g is in an itx living room build, and while it is stupid overkill, i still find myself tempted to get a 5700x3d, since it's $100 cheaper than the 58x3d.
Yeah it’s a pretty nice cpu :)
Why spend the money if your 5600g is overkill already? Keep your money instead
I have the 5600G for my og xbox case build, picked it up for £90
asuming you watch TV with your living room PC, keep that 5600g. if you disable cpu boost in energy saving plan (by setting max cpu speed to 99%) it is one of the most efficient recent CPUs. it will draw only like 10w watching netflix and alike. Also if you have a discrete GPU, you can still connect the TV to the mainboard HDMI. this way desktop mode (incl watching netflix) uses the iGPU, while your GPU is maximum idle only consuming like 5-10w. As soon as you launch games, your dGPU does still the computation, while the output still goes via your mainboard. windows even allows setting each application manually which GPU to use. feature is called hybrid graphics and receives much much tooo less attention for power savin.
Hah, I have a 4600G (from a pre-build) in a newly built media server, and it basically does nothing. It's so overkill for its job that it idles at 26C and CPU usage is basically always 0%.
Can you do a comparison between 5500gt,5600gt and 5600g side-by-side
That laptop cooler, from the last episode or so, is spectacular. Thank you so much.
Can you show the difference between the 5600 (or any similar you have by hand) and this one when using graphics card? Would be interesting to see the bottleneck
Could you review 5600GT? I don't need a beast of a computer (I've got a console for games), but I would like to upgrade my processor without breaking a bank (currently owning 2200g), so I'd like to see if 5600GT is worth over regular 5600G
Somehow it is. It's simply rebranded 5600G with more quality chip used this time from factory
If I am trying to limp my son's pc a bit longer is this a decent upgrade. Asus tuf b450, ryzen 1600AF, 16GB ddr4-3000, 1660ti?
did I miss something? what's the T on GT?
Can you try get hold AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5650G. I recent got an second pc from gumtree with that apu
What I do not understand is, the point of this CPU.
5600
5600G, which is a weaker 5600 but with a iGPU (G stands for APU)
5500, which is a 5600G without the iGPU
And then we have the 5500GT. 5500G... Isn't that the 5600G? We have the 5600GT too so.. What is the point of 5500GT?
AMD basically selling everything that they stockpiled during the covid pandemic at this point 😅
The point is AMD has plenty of inventory for this APU, what they did this time is just updating stepping to make it more stable with old board by fixing bugs. Thats it.
can you review the 5600gt
My pc just died (it had an i5 7500) and was paired with a GTX 1060 3gb, and 2x8GB ddr4 3200. Since I was on a budget, I decided to get this CPU along with an AM4 mobo. I guess I will be fine lol I chose this G variant just in case my GPU fails, because sometimes it acted funny while playing in my previous system, like the its fans went full force like a helicopter, running into a black screen and forcing me to do a restart.
Whats the difference between this and 5600g? Which one should i choose?
Glad am4 is still alive
I bought a r5 5500 for a spare PC i built, pretty decent CPU for what it is, its as fast as a r5 3600x on multi core, and single core is faster of course.
8:28 little error of editing ? (weird audio cut)
Yeah had some trouble with some of the recorded footage today :(
do 5600gt get better fclk? will 2400 fclk be basic?
I noticed something peculiar: In the first game, I see that the 5500GT CPU temperature is 68C°, while the iGPU is at 47°C.
So a difference of more than 20°C. For a monolithic die, that looks like a lot, no? Or is it not a monolithic die?
Maybe Afterburner has another bug...
The pricing is odd, because I bought a 5600G from Micro centre in California for $120 over a year ago.
Can you try the LukeFZ mod on this?

What in the world do they mean by "Radeon graphics"? I checked the AMD website and they don't specify even when you click on "Full specifications". Do they mean Vega or RDNA? I'm guessing it's Vega judging by the performance.
They don't wanna say "Vega" because it looks bad due to how old it is. So "Radeon graphics" is how they cover it up.

In my secondary pc im still using my old 3700k i7 lol. I just wish i had better motherboard option.
They release an APU with Vega graphics that’s been discontinued? It would have made more sense if they put RDNA graphics in these not having an already obsolete no longer supported iGPU.
"no longer supported" blud clearly doesn't read the release notes on amd drivers. add to that the fact that these might have been made before RDNA, or that zen3 might be incompatible with RDNA iGPU cores, and you have yourself a classic blunder.
@@bosermann4963let's be honest, these things are obsolete.
This year will be last for Vega. It's been running too long since 2018. 5000 series APU based on zen 2, so no need to be surprise after all.
AMD skip zen 3 and goes straight to zen 4 for 8000 series APU, thats why IGPU for RDNA 3 is fast as RX6400
@@arx117 The 5000 APUs aren't zen 2, Cezanne is zen 3.
These APU's use Vega because they're cut down 5600G's with an intact iGPU. There wouldn't be much point in going to the trouble of changing the GP on old stock, especially since they're likely using them to better compete with the i3's on price/performance.
