Waiting for the FNAF fandom to blow this video up lol Jokes aside, it's honestly pretty cool that Scott decided to use a song that was actually covered and performed by the characters at showbiz pizza
I was a technician at Showbiz/Chuck E Cheese back in the mid 90s to early 2000. So i've had the pleasure of re-skinning them when we swapped from Chuck E Cheese Mr Munch's Band to Showbiz character aka Rockafire Explosion. When I started working, we had Chuck E Cheese characters and the place was called Showbiz Pizza, which was the mix of the two places. Then one of the corporate guys, Raja Joshi I believe, bought three locations and turned them into Billy Bob's Pizza, which is when we overnight swapped the skins on the characters over a weekend, plus we had to clean the pneumatics. So, when my kids started playing FNAF, I was really happy to see that the insides were pretty accurate. Billy Bob's lasted about a year and a half. But it started my arcade tech journey/career and I still fix and collect arcade machines to this day. Quick back story, when I was kid late 79 to 81 I lived in California, and we had Showbiz, and the Rockafire Explosion was my first Pizza Animatronic experience, and not Chuck E Cheese. I actually didn't see that until I moved to Virginia in 82, and it's the same CEC I worked at, and the new employee tape gave the backstory of CEC and Showbiz. It also turns out, my absolute hate of pizza crust comes from when I was at that same spot in California as a kid and got a crust stuck in my throat, which hurt for like two days, so I had a sort of fear of pizza crust, and still to this day, I rarely eat them only if they're stuffed crust. So after watching that employee video I told the manager that i'm working for the company that gave me a phobia LOL!! Thank you for coming to my ADHD filled Ted Talk.
honestly i would have loved to be a kid at the 80s lol i love this kind of stuff so much. Imagine these animatronics playing this exact same song at its prime, at birthday parties full of kids and families. Must have been so much fun.
It was fun. The pizza was actually good. They had beer for the adults. Games were great. It was so much fun. Once I got to be about 11 or 12 not as much, but at 8 or 9 I loved the music too.
I felt like it was when I was a kid, but I wasn't sure if it was a false memory. Then I saw the FNAF trailer and I was like, "Oh, tell me I wasn't wrong."
I love Rockafire Explosion. I hate that Chuck E Cheese is what people think of when they think animatronics when the Rockafire gang have way better designs and move so much more fluidly.
