I have both phones bote i use the note more. Im using note phones since note 3. This comparison really is about what you need most.
Why nobody mentions on how convinient it is to edit your photos and videos with a stylus? And documents as well. I don care for all that swipe gimmicky gestures and stuff but when it comes to editing it is night and day.... comparing to just a finger. Or am i the only one with bigger fingers?

Yes. Blur is bad on moving objects. I have a note 20 ultra and im about to sell this to my friend and get the 12 pro max. Videos just look so much better on iPhone. But I will miss customization. Thats the price you pay tho

@@kingedward8556 8k is kinda jittery because it's only 30fps. It's more of a spec type thing to look good on paper.. and you would probably never use it
@@KEG-1995 trust me, I have S20 and 11 Pro, you will not miss customization. I was Android user over 10 years and I wanted to try iPhone, I bought 11 Pro and I think I'll stay on iOS. I love how it works and even more important, backup work perfect.
Even if I have to do a factory reset I can setup my phone from zero in 10 minutes (even without restoring from backup), on Android I have to change 1 million of settings. When I was a kid it was OK but now I just want solid battery life and stable OS. And like you said, iPhone have the best point and shot camera on the market.
Note should of had 6000-7000mah battery. Note has to be charged to get through a full day of heavy use even when you start from 100%

is note 20 ultra worth buying at 1040 including tax?
I would always choose battery life over refresh rate. I have S20 and 11 Pro and difference in battery life is night and day even on 60hz. On mobile data battery on Samsung phones are almost worst in business.
So Darius In terms of speed and performance the iphone 12 pro max is the winner in that category right? The higher refresh rate on the note 20 ultra has more of an impact on scrolling rather than opening apps faster or searching the web, which will all depend on the processor, correct?
I've got both phones and find the iPhone is faster loading browser/internet pages its insanely quick. The note is just smoother scrolling the web and Facebook ect with the 120 htz. Notes camera is a little oversaturated with colour but I like that, iPhone is more true to colour, video is better on iPhone. I use my note way more than the 12 pro Max, more customisable with widgets/home screen ect. Note charges much faster and screen is way more superior...

@@paradox9978 There is a developer options setting on the note you can make the animation transition faster so note wins opening apps definitely.

@@paradox9978 Well the xioami mi 11 just came out with snapdragon 888 so that would be the fastest. But yes the note and 12 pro max are the most powerful other than that. If you want spen options, big beautiful display, faster charging, reverse wireless charging then the note is the one. If you want fast browsing, fast downloads, great video recording then the iPhone wins there...

If they only shipped samsung with a qualcomm chipset Internationally it could be the best phone in the world.
Galaxy Note U is the beautiful, premium, and has fully flagship specs while iPhone is better in video graphy and its big notch is so bad and its great for gaming too.

Huh? Note 20 ultra is thinner than Iphone 12 pro max? As far as i know the Note 20 Ultra is 8.1mm while the Pro max 7.4mm

I have a 12 pro max in graphite. I do admit that the Note 20 is better but once you go for the IPhone it’s hard to let go.
The iPhone looks so welfare and low budget.
Creators never compare the iPhone 12 Pro with the Note 20 (not Ultra)? I wonder if Samsung tells them not to, as it seems that or they are biased? They all will do comparisons withe the N20U -v- the iPhone 11 Pro Max (a year-old phone) but rarely the s20U -v- the iPhone 12 Pro Max? Again I wonder if they are not allowed to, as they are closer in price and usability, the Note is really a one-off niche device and comparing it with non-pen phones seems like a lack of sensibility.
Also if you turn "reduce motion" on, then the iPhone is buttery smooth and as good as 120Hz in the UI. I rarely need 120Hz as videos playback at less, reading does not need 120Hz and I do not play games. My S20U is on 60Hz/QHD and I get 1-2h extra battery than on 120Hz! So, yes, I did go back to 60Hz! 120Hz is more hype than substance and YT creators seem to all parrot the same thing about it, but never complain that 99.9% of non-gaming laptops come with just 60Hz! Weird!
The N20U is for, if you need a pen on a phone, then it is a home-run, just buy it. The alternative to the iPhone are numerous, but if you do not need a pen then the Note at its launch price was terrible value but is far more realistic now, £400 off on eBay new, and likely to fall a bit more as the s21 lineup rolls out? Still, a tough buy in the UK as it is Exynos and having been stuck with an Exynos S20U I think at this stage of the game only a really good deal would make me get the Exynos N20U. So between the two, the iPhone is an easy winner if you do not need a pen!
You do know that the S20U uses the standard 120hz & the Note20U uses LTPO display? So when you talk about life of course you will get more going down to 60hz because the S20U is constant with 120hz instead switch from all the way down to 1hz or all the way to 120hz. Lastly Samsung and Apple both have partners with certain rules when they first come out but after that Samsung doesn't tell the creators not too because they are not under the Samsung contact for creators and social media creators contracts.

Seems strange that there are never many s20u -v- iPhone 12 Pro Max comparisons especially as most of us buy the s20 line not the Note which is niche and has its own hardcore fan club?
@@andyH_England this are tech youtubers ypu are talking about that camp you are talking about is niche and by the way the N20&N20U is some of the devices that help Samsung have the highest profit margin in the company history lastly the reason the S20U didn't use LTPO (only two other uses that type of display) is because it wasn't ready early enough the timeline when this phones are made are way different so the display tech is different.
Upgrade from Galaxy N10 plus, I would say that the iPhone 12 pro max is much better in terms of each expectation
