I'm a university student in Japan and my part-time jobs are as a video editor and cameraman for UA-camrs, businesses, and production companies. The nice thing about it is that I can be home for the majority of it, so I don't have to worry about commuting. And shooting is mostly done on weekends so it doesn't interfere with school, which is also online right now.

And how's the salary? Was it difficult to find that job? Sorry for asking so much but I would like to live in Japan for a year to improve my Japanese and I'm doubtful about whether I could earn enough money to live and study there.

I did door to door sales of orchestra concert subscription tickets. It was a lovely product but a really hard and kind of embarrassing job. I was also a part-time campus security guard at my university. It was tiring working nights and a bit scary too. Oh the things we do to get through university. 😖😳

Getting private tutoring jobs is pretty difficult in the U.S! You'd have to have connections to families in order to snag one of those jobs. I live in California and a lot of high school and university students go for restaurant jobs because they want to make extra money through tip. Depending on where you work, you can make an extra $100 - $200 through tips alone!
You can also get jobs at your university through a system called work study where our financial aid helps the jobs pay for student workers ^^ I currently have two jobs through my university as an office assistant and a graphic designer.

In our country during highschool we can't do a part time job. But we can do a part time job when we are going to university . But these stupid people underestimate the ones who are doing part time jobs , and even they treat to people as their jobs. I'm really surprised that , why can't they understand that it's good to do a part time job rather than being a burden to the family .

In Brazil, young people are prohibited from working. In this country, young people are encouraged to be a bad citizen, even a bum. It is put in people's minds that by putting a young man or woman to work, it means that he will be exploited by the rich bourgeois. There are even programs to denounce "child labor".

    • @layllachannel
      @layllachannel 3 роки тому +1

We have the Young Apprentice, a program that allows teenagers from 14 years old to work up to 6 hours until you turn 18 and can work 8 hours - is a part-time job. The salary can vary depending on where you work: supermarket, bank, restaurant, many companies accept students. When I was studying a professional computer course, they always had job offers for large companies, for example Nestlé and Bradesco, and with some salaries of R$1600 + some benefits, most were for 16 year olds, but there were also some for 14 year olds. They are 1-year contracts and you must continue with high grades, otherwise you may lose your job.
Child labor is a crime, as it takes away the child's right to learn and play. What happens with artists is, the child can do the work as long as he's having fun with it.

Many high school students in the US have part time jobs, sometimes to support their families, sometime to just have extra spending money (most of my friends invested in computers and alcohol). It's uncommon to go to college without already having some experience and puts you behind a bit when you start drafting resumes in your first year (it's expected you at least have some part time experience and some volunteer experience by the time you get to University, so you have something to get internships with by your second year). Common jobs are fast food joints and grocery stores. It's so common in fact that my high school allowed seniors to remove a class period from the start or end of the day in their schedule so they could go to work in the mornings or evenings, and we had a section in our yearbook for places people work where there'd be photos of students at pizza places and stuff.

    日本のアルバイトに感動したのは、ここフィリピンでは、多くの男子生徒が建設現場で働くことを余儀なくされ、一部の女子生徒は生き残るためだけに自分の体を売ることを余儀なくされているからです。
BTW i just translated that from google

Many people in the U.S.A. have to work 2 or 3 jobs. But what we also have here is that a person who starts from that can end up on the Supreme Court or anywhere he/she chooses.

Crazy to think that I'd be able to live comfortably here in my country with japan's part time job salary. Pay is way better than our country minimun wage. With japan's part time salary, I could rent a decent apartment, good food or even pay college fees, ALL AT ONCE

    ロシアでは普通、高校生はバイトしていないわけではないが、夏休みだけにしいるんです。大学生は1-2年生なら同じですけれども、3年生の頃から一年中のバイトやフールタイムの仕事を始める場合が多いです。
