I swear Sims Builders are terrified of building hallways. 💀 That could be a new challenge - you can't have any adjacent rooms not connected via a hallway
Lol. I hate how hallways look in live mode (I play with half walls), and I think they look weird because the walls (wallpaper, stone, siding, etc.) don't have the 3D textures that would make them look realistic

Deligracy talks about how she prefers open plan builds, and doesn't like hallways because they can mess up a sim's routing. I personally agree. I find sims get stuck in and don't move through small spaces efficiently. I think it's more to do with gameplay and less to do with them just not liking them.
I absolutely loathe houses that done have hallways in the Sims. It's so unnatural to me, literally never even been in a house that doesn't have some form of hallway somewhere. Some being absolute mazes.
I will completely rebuild a house to add a hallway, with the exception if I'm doing a converted factory/barn build. That's it.
@@nixiethepixiemy house was built in 1893 and it doesn’t have any hallways.
I also wish we had a wall grid for making sure lights are even, so what I normally end up doing is putting a tiled wallpaper up, then putting in all my lights, pictures, etc. Then you can count how many tiles from the floor something should be. And then I can just put the regular wallpaper back in when I'm done.

Same but i the more i thought about it afterwards i THINK (coukd be wrong) that conversation pits were more of a 50s-60s thing 🤔

The Random Fraction Challenge, You Start with 9 Tiles for the First Room, Then you Spin a Wheel, The Wheel has stuff like: X2, ÷2, X1.5, ÷1.5, x2.5, ÷1.5, ect...
Youd have to do some rounding to account for partial tiles though

When other youtubers end their videos saying 'love you so so much' and I'm like 'yeah whatever, why do they all say that' but then Jesse says it and I'm like 'aw you do 🥺I love you so much too!!! xxx" I only take it personally if it comes from Jesse 😂😘
In my real house, my living room is quite literally that big and next to my kitchen. I have the back 1/3 of it set up as a dining room and the other 2/3s set up as a living room. It works out really well and makes the place feel open concept even though it's not.
you talking about not giving into your perfectionism has unironically helped me so much to realise how irrational IM being sometimes, you know you're not helping yourself when you move a light 50 times because you keep gaslighting yourself into believing it's uneven 😭

I'd love to see you build a Fibonacci house--each room is the size of the previous two rooms added together! So if you start with 1 tile (for example), you get rooms of tiles numbering 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, and so on. Could be very interesting, especially for the odd-numbered rooms.

Good luck though! Us stylists will be here ready to charge you $100/hr for your color correction when you finally realize you have no fucking clue what you're doing.
my hair is naturally an ashy level 8 so it lifts really well without warmth!!!

I love making 60s-70s inspired sims in cas but I always get stuck when it comes to actually playing with them bc I don’t know midcentury design very well, I love this house and I’m for sure gonna play in it
I’m sure it’s not going to work in game but that living room would look so good with a conversation pit
thank you for reminding me that i need to make a home with one of those. somehow, despite most of my builds being 70s inspired, i havent made a build with a conversation pit 😅
I think you could with the platforms, maybe raise them up in the whole house a lot and then the conversation pit would be ground height or level with the foundation?
@@sadexcuseforlife3860 You can sink them down. Just like with building platforms, but go down instead. You'll see the foundation on the sides, but you can place platform trim.

Yeah, I agree it'd be useful to have a grid on the wall as well because I'm awful at judging symmetry for free placing things. The house is definitely a vibe! Love a retro build

I actually really liked the kitchen and the living room.
I LOVE the exterior of her house. I like the rock with the wood/earth tones, i like the entry way is deeper into the house and it is not level with the exterior wall, I like the landscaping, and I especially the tiered back space from the bedroom surrounded by those shrubs. I think if I were to download it, I would try to put a firepit back there but this house is really nice.

This gives the same vibes as my grandparents house except theirs is kinda scuffed and not finished. My grandma is very very picky and I don't remember a time when it was finished and I have been on this earth for 20 years (there was a flood at one point which ruined a lot of stuff). I wish my grandpa could get a sort of completed house before he dies. He has had a long life (worked at NASA back in the day) and deserves comfort.

I wish there was a bathroom build kit with an easier way to build showers, more modular, tubs, then the wall shower, choose glass or a curtain, be able to create a shower surround just in the room without a tub, it would be great
