@@Greybean13 Maybe because someone is putting into words what you have been feeling. It's normal to start crying if you feel understood, especially when you usually aren't. And in my experience us autistic people are rarely understood.

@@odurokwame9719 Yes, but not only! Neurodivergent is an umbrella term that also covers other neurological and developmental conditions like ADHD, dyslexia, etc. It’s a nice way to refer to oneself if you don’t want to disclose your condition, if you have multiple, or just prefer it.

A very comforting song, I sometimes feel like a big ear walking about.
Today, the door greeter at Costco told me there were no dogs allowed. I have a service dog for a medical condition. Some patrons heard them say that and then started harassing me, calling my dog stupid and my condition made up. I wasn't a dog person before being prescribed one in the aftermath of some trauma I experienced related to trying to get my two terminally ill daughters medical treatments to be covered by insurance. Now, my dog buys me 10-15 minutes forewarning before an adverse medical events. My life gets loud sometimes, and this song meant a lot to me, in being able to grieve constructively about some of the effed-up-edness of life.
Every time I'm going through something, Tom seems to make a song that perfectly encapsulates my feelings.
