- Green Goblin, is that you? A man recently seen casually flying over Times Square on a hoverboard is speaking out to Inside Edition. Hunter Kowald performed the stunt over stunned spectators at the crossroads of the world with a camera strapped to his helmet. And it sure looked a lot like the iconic “Spider-Man” villain. Kowald also designed the hoverboard aircraft and regularly posts videos on UA-cam of his captivating flying adventures. Inside Edition caught up with him at JFK airport. #InsideEdition
He missed the opportunity to say:
"You know, I'm somewhat of a scientist myself".

Because it's manned, not a drone. While tiny DJI is unmanned drone. You know, if it's dangerous and contains living meat, it's allowed. If it's tiny, just for hobby, not so dangerous, it's heavily regulated. Typical FAA
Well, this guy got permission as the video says. Also, he never actually flew over people. Perspective matters. It also looked to me that there were people keeping peds behind barriers or away from the general area of danger.
I would like to think this dude would consider these things before putting others at risk.
Personally, however, I don't see why there aren't rings around the props... maybe it doesn't get as much lift? I'm not an expert.

@@justordinaryday8712 The FAA regulates manned and unmanned aviation. And the way they make drone regulations is so weird, like it's perfectly legal to fly one inch over my neighbor's back fenced lawn, but _oh how bad of me to do that without registering the drone first_? Just as dangerous here imo

@@intro2society Yeah, and laws probably. Might end up being reserved mostly for flying over water or outside of cities. Also keep in mind that the currently the battery likely doesn't last long enough for this to be a feasible form of transport. Can't wait for a consumer model though!
