When we were visiting the US in 2013, my seven year old daughter saw a postal service van and said excitedly-" Look, Daddy! Its a Charoises Truck!!!" The seven thousand dollar airfare that summer was worth it for that alone...
my kids asked me to watch this again this year and as im watching it im like " i should really check my cozy coop and see whats in it " i actually found 3 tam tam and a bunch of chereoes ! so no joke on checking the cozy coop !
REVIEW PART 4 . The scene where they engage in the all-too-familiar post-seder one-upmanship is hilariously and painfully close to home, and teaches us an important lesson: By the Seder, remember to keep the focus on educating your children. Under the masterful direction of Moishe Bree, “Stuff” manages to encompass all the excitement and emotion of the holiday and its preceding weeks in a short four minutes. Bravo and much luck to this exciting team of young talent in the future.
Jewlarious! My fave video on the UA-cam and I contributed to many of the watches. The charoses / postman thing has echoes of Modi's Home Depot routine "you put it in".
It's called ahavat chinam and kiruv- don't tell people what they shouldn't be doing, but live by example so they will want to follow in your footsteps :)
REVIEW PART 2 Starring Binyomin Schwartz, in a luminous turn as a scruffy haired adherent of the old school of Pesach who decries the chametzization of the holiday, “Stuff” captures the holiday’s fraught atmosphere in beautifully shot SLR footage. Mr. Mernick perfectly portrays a wide-eyed, bearded man-child, who speaks with great awe of his rapping cousin, the concert extravaganza he hopes to attend, and the fateful Pesach he found a middle-eastern snack in his suit.
+Zach Hollett They're making fun of the excessive cleaning of "chometz" (leavening), the obsessive worrying over whether the utensils and household items are "kosher enough," and engaging in one-upsmanship over whose maror (horseradish) was stronger, and whose Seder went later.
REVIEW PART 1 From the opening moments of “Stuff People Say On Pesach”, when a bespectacled Yoni Mernick shrieks in a hair raising falsetto “No chametz in the kitchen!” we realize that we have left the world of vapid viral videos behind and are now in the presence of la cinema real. Forget stoned post-dentist toddlers, dance Darwinism, carnivorous infants and babbling bediapered babies: “Stuff” has set the UA-cam bar to previously unreached heights.
REVIEW PART 3 As the film progresses, the two men pile oddity upon oddity in their quest to prepare for Yom Tov: Mr. Schwartz harangues a put-upon mailman for his Telshe charoses, and Mr. Mernick wonders aloud whether small shirts are kosher for Pesach. The contrast between the two is inimitable, and the characters themselves-the hardliner and the thumb sucking innocent-are a clever veiled reference to some of the four sons of the hagadda.
hey yonny this is dusty so surprised to see u online great acting keep up the great work i would love to invite u to one of our mets or yankees games later on in the season Just kidding, not dusty! but great job anyway.
"By the seder one time, we opened up the door for Eliyahu Hanavi and he came in, slept over and he stayed over by us for Pesach" lolololol xD
