I bought some of the packaged carp. I've used it a few times this winter, with no luck. Although, skipjack, chicken and other baits hadn't treated me very well either. Hopefully, I will get a better comparison in the spring. I usually fish more for channel cats. Been getting into the Mississippi River fishing this past year. I'm looking forward to catching some monsters. Love your videos and podcasts.
@@DieterMelhorn Yes indeed they do. People look at me crazy when I purposely fish for them. I get food and catfish bait all in one☺️. Keep up the great work. I really enjoy your channel.
This is gonna be great, please forgive me if I misspelled anything, I suffered a bad head injury a few yrs ago, and I just wanted too say you have my full support. God Bless you and the family 👪.
Actually it's not. When the bite is bad, there is no miracle cure. Trying a different bait is better when the bite is normal, that way you'll know how it performs alongside other baits.
Oh, contrare! A slow bite is EXACTLY the time to test for the most effective bait !
Thanks for the new information!

Awesome and nice, a real honest review.
We fish with Asian Carp as bait regularly. Catfish love it! It's also a very delicious fish to eat, if you don't mind the bones.
I've heard they eat well....

Thanks for sharing information Dieter going to try some of the Carp
Blue River Carp will be at Indiana Fishing Expo and National Fishing Expo in Columbus, OH, and Catfish and Crappie Conference in Louisville, KY
Good action and info Dieter! Thanks man
Thanks for checking me out!
Is there asian carp in the waters you are fishing? I live in NC around Raleigh and watch your channel quite often. Enjoy the videos
No sir@@zackcarter9596, luckily we don't have them yet.....
Planning to buy some packaged carpet at cat con this time, I'll try anything once. Fish not biting real good in our lake and river either 🎣🎣🎣

Thank you for watching sir!!
Nice fish!
I love bowfishing for those annoying Asian Carp around here; Thomas uses it for bait, great bait!
CHUTEM ALL!!
Have you seen that pink hellcat rode be a good match for Pinky
The pink Hellcat rods I have are too heavy. I wish my pink Hellcat rods were a medium action like my green ones.
Are you going to catfish conference next month in Louisville KY
Sadly, I will not be there this year!
This will be my first time going
@@rickalsip2329 You will enjoy the show!!
Just my honest opinion… a sunglasses company should seriously consider sponsoring you.

I love the blue river carp bait!
Glad you like it....catching fish on it???
@@DieterMelhorn yes it has been doing great on kerr lake. My biggest on it so far is a 45lb blue cat. The salt cured is my favorite
This may seem like a silly question, But do you think the color of the peg float makes a difference?
On certain days they seem to get more bites. You'll be seeing some videos later this year discussing that....
@@DieterMelhorn ok can't wait
i love your videos
and I appreciate you watching and commenting!
The best time to test baits is when the bite is tough!

What do you think the best channel cat bait is??
Hard to beat shad, but honestly, nightcrawlers catch a LOT of channel catfish....
