The emerald green rainforest and desolate mountains of the Bella Coola Valley make for simply stupendous views! and had a quiet day-dream to the sound of the river!

The nuxalk culture really brings home the interconnectedness of everyone on the planet! Just love the mystery and fascination of the symbolism behind the totem poles and the petroglyphs and how they reach so far back in time.

This video is awesome. Very vivid visual experience to show us the Nuxalk culture. The 5000 years petroglyphs show us the intelligence of the people in the past and great indigenous culture. Next time when I visit British Columbia I will definitely visit this great bear rain forest. Thank you for sharing.

You never know how much culture lies between the trees. So much history lies maybe right in our backyards and we don't quite realize it. The Nuxalk are quite amazing, totems, petroglyphs, etc. are so interesting!

Those Totem poles reveal a lot of information and some history that we are unaware of. Some of the stones are believed to be over 4000 years old, which surprises me. The landmarks are fantastic, and the location is one-of-a-kind, in my opinion. But it is from the Great Bear Rainforest, after all. There are a lot of hidden surprises here.

How fascinating! I was wondering are the nuxalk people in any way related to inuit/native Americans? The totem poles and art style remind me of those cultures, even the accent. Very cool

These same petroglyphs can be found in Kiwi Land, our Maori brother's and sisters protect them.
