    You know in hindsight, I think the plan was to let stevie go to build his own franchise. At the time, the wings were fresh off of back to back Stanley cup finals appearances. If you promote a guy to GM to take over from a three time cup winning GM and he’s never been a general manager before, it’s a lot of pressure. No matter how beloved he is by the city (see joe dumars) if you don’t do well it can tarnish your legacy. It seems almost planned that they let him go and build his own team essentially from scratch into a cup contender. Whether they won in the playoffs isn’t really up to him. I think it’s safe to say he built a solid team. Now the wings know he can build a winner.

    Some of you may be wondering "hey what happened to this lightning team? how did the Yzerman regime fare this post season? well boys and girls Its like following up with the kids or convicts years later after the 'Scared Straight' video came out. "We caught up with Steve Yzerman roughly a year after this video came out and you'll be surprised to know he is back in Detroit as he broke up with TB. Tampa Bay began to suffer from a serious playoff exit addiction and player over valuation......here's an update......"
    The following '18-'19 season the Tampa Bay Lightning, again under the tutelage of Yzerman and John Cooper, were able to secure the #1 record in the NHL by tying a league-record 62 wins in 82 games, also winning the President's Trophy with the most points in the league.
    The 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs began with the #1 Seed Lightning having home ice advantage over the #8 seed Columbus Blue Jackets. Columbus has never won a best-of-7 playoff series in their franchise's short existence. Partly due to the latter reasoning, partly due to the fact that the Lightning had finalists on their roster for the Norris, Hart, Masterson and Adams trophies, respectively and also due to the fact that no other team in the league came close to their impressive play.
    While Yzerman watched from a luxury suite in game 1, anticipating his legacy to swell to unimaginable heights by becoming a Stanley Cup winning executive in addition to player, his Lightning proceeded to lose all 4 games in the series and were swept from the postseason by a team that not only won their first series in history but the Lightning became the first team in history to be SWEPT by an 8 seed while winning the President trophy.
    Kids: Don't do Drugs and more importantly don't ever underestimate your opponent! Cheers!

      @T4Orick 5 років тому

      You don't mention that TB breezed through the regular season with no adversity, while CBJ fought hard to get into the playoffs, barely getting in as 2nd wild card. They also had the coach from TBs Cup winning 2004 team. They also had StLouis TBs best player in the Playoffs Cup winning year. He also knows how they play, he'sstill good friends with Stamkos) helping coach their power play and other areas. I'm sure all of that combined gave them an edge over TB who took their foot off the gas towards the end of the season. TB also lost Hedman, Stralman, and Callahan to injuries right before Playoffs didn't help either.

So y'all really gave us 3 awesome pieces for the future and Namestikov who has been very disappointing for us when it comes to points and scoring but he does do the little things right. So we gave you a freebie with JT miller for Namestikov and then Mac truck for Howden, Hajek & K'eandre Miller. K' Miller was a steal and a half for us late in the 1st round, the kid is a stud and is a two way defensemen with major offensive skill because he switched from forward to defense 2 seasons ago. I'm hoping y'all win the cup this year because i would love for another 1st round draft pick instead of a 2nd round pick. Plus how can i not root for my old team and players? The Rangers South which is half former ranger players from our stanley cups and ECF deep runs from those 5 to 7 years that we we're good for. Good Luck the rest of the way.👏👍

    what software do you use to make and edit your videos... what software do you use for your screen recordings?

      Sorry for the late reply. I talk into a microphone and record on a free program called audacity. And i edit my videos on final cut pro but iMovie is a great alternative. If you have more questions or want me to link you the sites to all the stuff i use just let me know!
