I got my permit 3 days ago and I was pulling into our driveway and I was going slow and about to break when my mom shouts "JESUS CHRIST ALMIGHTY SLOW THE HELL DOWN" lmao I was only going like 3km
Yes it is very uncomfortable driving in heels. I have been driving for 1 year and I always drive barefoot. I live in south Florida so I am barefoot most of the time. I hate shoes. I think you should drive barefoot it is very comfortable and it always feels good being barefoot. I just got back from dropping my younger sister off at her friends house and since I did not get out of my car I did not even bring my sandals with me. I did not need shoes for a 15 minute drive since I did not get out of my car.
Thanks. Keep driving in your bare feet. You will get used to it and it is much more comfortable driving in your bare feet. I hardly even wear flip flops I am mostly in my bare feet.
I drove in a cemetery when I drove for the first time. And Ahh yes, I remember the first time I drove a manual. I kept stalling but later found out I was in 3rd gear instead of 1st. After that, I really didn't have too many problems.
@@pabloescobar7316 I'm 15 I'm fine with driving manuals but my problem is switching cars every manual car is like so different, lighter clutch, shorter shifts ect

I went driving for the first time today with my permit and my dad kept telling me to go faster and he wouldn't let me get used to it first. I just drove around my neighborhood but there are so many turns and stop signs. It was stressful.

Just got my G1 permit (in Canada) on Wednesday, and today was my 2nd time driving :) It IS a weird feeling to be in the driver's seat for a change, but it's so much fun! I've only driven in an empty highschool parking lot and through a subdivision. Actually today, I came up to a main road, and since there weren't any cars, my husband told me to turn onto it and I was freaking out, going at full speed (50km/hr)! I know I'll get more confident with more practice, but that was such a freaky feeling LOL It reminded me of the movie "Clueless" when Dion accidentally went onto the freeway while practicing her driving :P I felt like screaming the whole time!

i just drove for the first time today for 2 hours, i live in the city... it was fucking terrifying! so many cars around and pedestrians, honking, i decided to never drink again...
Got my G1 in Canada last March on my birthday and test was so damn easy. Few days after I got my license my dad took me for a long drive in the country and a little bit in the city. He said I was fantastic. Then throughout the summer I would do more driving and then once school started back up I wouldn’t have time to even drive. It is Jan 1st 2019 now and I drove all around my city (so much traffic) just a few days ago. My dad says that I am almost ready to go for my G2 which is a status that lets you drive by yourself. I will be able to take my test in March and to be honest I think I will be ready. All I have to do is just practice parallel parking and just regular parking. Wish me luck this March!
Just got mine a couple days ago and she's doing so much better than me. I screeched the tires when pressing the gas on an uphill slant and when turning onto the street i went way over the line into the next lane the whole time my mom is screaming "YOU'RE TOO CLOSE TO THE EDGE OF THE ROAD!"

I took drivers ed and we had a driving portion and i had to pass drivers ed to get a certificate to be able to apply for my permit. so it's weird to think that people can get their permit without have any driving experience. 😂
snoopy boop, might be able to get a permit, but a permit isn't worth anything unless a licensed driver is with them. They then have to get proper training in order to get their license.
Nugget yeah but trust me, you will be so happy you learned. I need to buy a throw away car with a stick to teach all my kids how to drive a stick. I know it stinks now, but they are way easier than you think. Keep at it and you will do fine.
How are all of y'all getting your permit without driving first?? Where do you live lol here in North Carolina you MUST take take Driver's Ed and drive for a total of 6 hours before you can go apply for a permit
+Latheone Well I'm glad here where I live they make you drive with a certified driving instructor. Makes the roads a lot safer not having any dumbass drive for their first time without practice with a drivers Ed instructor.
XBL GamingHD I just read up on the requirements for NC and they are not that much different then FL. You said it's required to drive for the first time with a Driver's ED instructor, this is not true. As per the guidelines, a qualified driving supervisor can be a parent or guardian with a valid driver's license. Yes I do see you need to take a class (in a classroom) before you can apply for your permit but nothing in your regulations does it say you are required to drive at any time with a Driver's ED instructor. Our requirements in Florida require an X amount of time behind the wheel and an X amount of time in a classroom, you are also required to take a course and pass that course before you can apply for your road test. A new driver in FL must wait 12 months from the date they get their permit till they can apply for their road test. So unfortunately, even in NC you have "Dumbasses" driving around for the first time with just a parent or guardian. Also this was not her first time driving, this was her first time driving on the roads. Also in case you didn't read other commitments, I drive for a living. I'm more qualified to teach someone how to drive then your driver's ed instructor.
+Latheone you obviously didn't read North Carolina's laws correctly, if you live here you MUST complete Driver's Ed which is a 30 hour class and you must drive 6 hours with the drivers Ed teacher and he give you a signed paper saying you have completed the driving part and that you are eligible to apply for a permit. If you don't have that signed paper with you at the DMV when you go get your permit, you might as well turn around and leave and your not getting anything until you bring it with you. (Source: I LIVE IN NORTH CAROLINA) Have no idea where you got that information from
XBL GamingHD lol, I just reread the section about the driver's ed. It does say 30 hours classroom and after completion of that you will get behind the wheel training but does not specify how much time, it reads as if the instructor will tell you when he feels you are qualified. You can do this at 14.6 years of age and can be completed thru your HS if they offer those classes. So really you aren't talking a whole lot of difference in NC then most states. Like I've said, my daughter had lots of practice in parking lots, big auto auction lots before she went to get her permit. If we didn't feel she was ready to drive, then we wouldn't have allowed it. She has done well, so we bought her a brand new car once she passed drivers ed and passed her road test. I have that video on my channel.
Most of my family kept saying that I couldn't drive. but I had never drove a car a day in my life on sept 12 2016 was when I got my first car but I still didn't drive I had my sister drive for me then one day we were at the park practicing and I jokingly said let me drive is back home but ended up doing it and got us there with no problems and I've been doing it ever since today, Btw I'm 19 lol. I can parallel park and back In now I'm like ugh driving🙄😂 and yes Ik that was a run on paragraph

snoopy boop, might be able to get a permit, but a permit isn't worth anything unless a licensed driver is with them. They then have to get proper training in order to get their license.
true
I'm extra nervous because I'm forced to drive a manual.
Nugget yeah but trust me, you will be so happy you learned. I need to buy a throw away car with a stick to teach all my kids how to drive a stick. I know it stinks now, but they are way easier than you think. Keep at it and you will do fine.
always for first time drivers...buckle up!.. the mom should advise her that, but not bad at driving
This is seriously I how was when I made my first turn 😂😂😂
I was so scared of driving my moms car that I only rode the break first time driving it
My first time driving on a public road was in the dark on a 40 mph Windee road, I know, I'm a real badass
Oh wow you can put a car in drive, I learned on a 132 speed NASCAR tractor trailer.
powerful van...just remember u cant turn something that long very fast...overall good job
I'm going to drive my first time today but with alittle expierence and I'm going to have the same reaction as you are XD
How are all of y'all getting your permit without driving first?? Where do you live lol here in North Carolina you MUST take take Driver's Ed and drive for a total of 6 hours before you can go apply for a permit
XBL GamingHD every state is different. Most states you are not allowed to drive until you get your permit. This was the day she got her permit.
Can't wait to get my permit...one year
She did better than me, my first time driving I was at a vacant lot and ran over 3 signs
